Hades II feels great for early access and could easily pass for a finished game in its current state. That being said, I consider the original Hades to be one of the great games of all time. I have no doubt that once Hades II exits early access into its final state, it will also join those ranks. As it stands there are some tweaks needed that are holding it back.

- Weapons don't feel all that distinct from each other, especially compared to the original game. I find myself using the blades or the axe and ignoring the rest which is a shame.

- Different builds with boons don't feel like they have as much variety as they did in the previous game, and feel much more minor.

- Armor also feels a little too spongey.

- I like the resource gathering, but it was a bit of a pain until the recent update, and is now much better.

So far those are my only complaints! This game is still a ton of fun. Graphically it looks even better than the original and Supergiant continues to kill it in the art department. The music/voice acting is also top notch. Melinoe is also an awesome protagonist and I am finding myself just as invested in the story and rest of the characters.

As of right now its a 4.5/5, but I have no doubt this will be an easy 5 star when all is said and done.
