tgrfawcett reviewed Little Kitty, Big City
Little Kitty, Big City is genuinely a witty, charming, and colorful experience from start to finish.

You are the little kitty, and you are in the big city trying to get back home. Along the way you get to engage with all sorts of fun little mechanics that range from recycling to mischief making. Nothing feels out of place, and nothing overstays its welcome.

Honestly, I don't have a long dialogue to engage in here. Little Kitty, Big City is aspiring to give you a very specific adventure and it succeeds in basically every way. The writing is clever. The world design is vibrant. There are cute hats and animal friends. It is cute and wholesome in all the ways it needs to be.

This game connects with those who love cats, of which I am one of many. I had a genuinely wonderful time, but more importantly my cats did too spending their time pawing at the screen with vested interest.

tgrfawcett reviewed A Little to the Left
There isn't much to say about A Little to the Left. It is a simple game with a simple premise. It does what it does well, but perhaps doesn't leave as much of an impression. That said, it is a good time regardless.

tgrfawcett completed Open Roads
After a troubled five-year dev cycle, I am glad Open Roads was able to see the light of day.

By most accounts it is a well written, well performed, story. Kaitlyn Deever and Keri Russel bring a great deal of life to the mother/daughter duo, broadly elevating the material with their voice work. They keep you interested in learning more about these characters. The discoveries you'll make are more than enough to catch your interest and keep you moving through these environments.

Perhaps the largest miss here is the visual contrasts between the 2D animated characters and the rather plain 3D environments. They leave each disconnected from the other. It feels as though some stylization on the 3D assets to match the 2D design would have done quite a lot to benefit the cohesion between the two. Something furthered by the disconnect between exploring and conversations.

Although it can feel at odds with itself, there is more than enough here to enjoy. I am hopeful that the Open Roads Team will get to further invest in telling stories with these kinds of games.
