actually bad remakes

The main reason you should care about a shitty rerelease is that it will only make the originals that much harder to obtain llegaly.
here's a list of some studios that tend to make good ones so you know what to look for:
bluepoint
M2
aca archives (can't seem to figure out who makes these but they're all pretty good)
code mystics
nightdive
treasure ports
qloc
also: the ctr remake is actually good

yea it's still not as good as just emulating the original. I wanna add that this remake was held hostage, they remastered banana blitz with the promise that the earlier, more well received games would eventually get ported.
when it works it's almost as good as playing the game on wii
just google it
for fun, google any news about activision blizzard.
so it's crash with broken collision and already dated visuals. this game looks like an early ps3 game at best. the tex avery style animation and prebaked lighting of the originals is replaced with tweening and broken dynamic lighting which makes crashes eyes look like lemons in any indoor section.
runs worse than the ps2 originals. On release it was so bad that konami had to hire another developer.
this one is p well documented as being shit despite the devs best efforts. if u want a proper HD remaster of silent hill 2 check out the silent hill 2 enhanced edition mod:
http://enhanced.townofsilenthill.com/SH2/index.htm
so on ps3, you get enhanced draw distances which is nice. but jak will sometimes punch in random directions regardless of how the analog stick is held. On ps4, the punch glitch isn't present but the analog sticks now work like an 8 way dpad making the games feel horrible to play.
absolutely broken on ps5
the pc port is basically unplayable due to a desync.
fix:
set monitor refresh to 60
turn off in game v-sync
set whatever resolution you want to 120hz

Bluepoint used to make good remasters for the PS3, but the current remakes they do really fuck up the art direction
