Rainbow Six Siege is a game that I feel fell out of touch with its theme which made it enticing for many people. It was a break from the movement-style play seen in most fps games; a methodical strategy-based shooter. And although I was nowhere near an early player in this game, I could still feel that tactical feel the devs for aiming for.
But looking at the game now, I think it has become something much different. With the addition of new operators with almost wacky abilities, that realistic terrorist/counter-terrorist scenario feels less tangible. Reworks and updates have rendered that original direction nearly invisible to me. The game feels more run-and-gun and arcadey. It's not bad, per se, but just not what it was or what I always wanted from it.
