Interesting concept, interesting story, but poor execution. I love character creators, so letting me draw my own sprite sounded real cool! However, the actual drawing is clunky and when your done, you creature looks awkward as hell in motion. The gameplay is just a subpar platformer that doesn't make me want to play anymore. I would rent this from Blockbuster and then wake up super early for school so that I could play it for a bit

It was a great idea to let players add their own art to a game. It's too bad that your character looks very out of place and that the game is about as bare-bones a platformer as it can be. I did always find it amusing that your character is basically stated to be an otherworldly spawn of God, though. Helps to justify the disparate art styles.

Charming character designs and a novel concept struggle to uphold bugginess, tedious inter-level fetch quests, and some of the laziest level design I have ever seen and I grew up on movie game shovelware.
The idea behind a game like this is much better and more developed than the game itself could ever be.

Tried to beat it as a kid with my action replay but i couldn't die to the force loss battle and i don't even remember any of the game anyway so i'm marking it as complete
waste of a great premise, luckily we have things like Tearaway that carry the torch
Cozy ass game. It's nothing mindblowing now but as a kid this was my SHIT. Backed up by a legitimately emotional story this is not a game I'll ever forget.

Este juego tiene un gran número de virtudes y cosas que lo hacen ser genial y entretenido. Lo más interesante de él es el hecho de dibujar todo, desde el personaje principal hasta los elementos del pueblo raposa. Pero no sólo eso; la historia en sí, ver como va avanzando el pueblo y que sus habitantes van regresando, y los propios niveles con mecánicas únicas lo hacen ser un juego perfecto en muchos aspectos. Lo único malo, quizá, es la limitación de creatividad en los dibujos a causa de las plantillas que impone el juego y los movimientos ortopédicos del protagonista.

Improvable level design but the whole "draw your hero and some ingame elements" mechanic was, and still is, pretty rad. Also this game and its sequel had no right having the story it had. You know what I'm talking about.
A bit too overly simplistic for my tastes but this was a fun little time waster. Besides the drawing mechanic (which even then is limited) the side-scrolling platforming leaves a lot to be desired. The cute characters and sprite-work help make up for a lot of it though.

This game looks gorgeous with its spritework, not to mention it's a really fun and creative game.

try drawing with a wiimote (i should give the ds one a try i guess)
The concept was amazing and so were the characters, but it was so repetitive. Still, it made me feel so good to see things I made in different levels.
balance was kinda garbage but otherwise fun times
