this was just an Ok game honestly, im not a dc fan but i am a scribblenauts fan and this shit doesnt even touch Unlimited. But that being said,, it IS still scribblenauts gameplay just made with a medal collecting system tht penalizes you for being uncreative, deteriorating weapon durability, more emphasis on having you fight.. i say with less and less pizazz LMAO
Like its an alright game but when you squint a bit too long it really shows its cracks, still made with heart in the vein of dicking around with dc heroes is fun. Even the characters i didnt know i still enjoyed seeing Maxwell's take on and it also provides a nice and unexpected conclusion for a central character in the franchise and REALLLY PRETTY art and cutscenes :) very cute!
Unfortunately the suit system doesnt even matter when adjectives exist other than looking like your fave hero or baddie for a quick moment until your fuckin undies singe off from whatever superpowered asshole is barreling down the street
By the time i got to the end of the game I was enjoying the final confrontation but I really found myself wishing that the scribblenauts combat.. felt Less Like scribblenauts combat pftft.
final thoughts: if its on sale and you love dc, go for it! if you dont love dc but love scribblenauts and want somethin to scratch the itch, go for it! sky is the limit with steam workshop after all even in spite of the item creation being wonky as hell in this game. I even think a lot of series veterans might appreciate the fact that the missions are randomly generated when you reload the location so there's more variety in returning to the same location than just greasing commissioner gordon's tires or some stupid shit over and over until you meet the required quota. But whats here is DEFINITELY a game thats more limited than scribblenauts unlimited and hurts from it in literally every way thinkable whether its meager or large, ehhhhh bitch they honestly should just try to make a 3d scribblenauts next if they want to do anything elsse with this franchise afterwards if scribblenauts unlimited isnt going to get ports with new content
and yeah thats all i got, cya

The super hero stuff is cool but the missions are boring and the overworld quests are really buggy and therefore sometimes just annoying to even complete. It has a lot of detail relating to the DC content but in every other way the game falls kind of flat especially compared to Scribblenauts Unlimited.
Still fun to mess around in... but kinda lame otherwise? Completely abandons the level system, and I dont really feel like there's a good place that can be dedicated just for messing around. It uses a ton of randomly-generated missions which can be pretty funny to be honest, but doesn't really hold a candle to Unlimited.
I downloaded Goku from the steam workshop though which is super awesome.
