A triumph in gaming, and a testament to the craft itself. 4 extremely solid campaigns, wonderful characters and design, and it's proof of what a truly successful gaming Kickstarter campaign can give you.
Yacht Club Games started their company extremely strong.

A fantastic collection of expertly designed 2D platforms, only held back a little by Plague of Shadows.

There is So. Much. Damn. Content. Still have to play Plague of Shadows, King of Cards, and Showdown.

This, and Celeste, are 2 of the smoothest, nuanced, and well thought out platformers I've played ever.

I love you Shovel Knight, you are a phenomenal side scroller with an immense amount of replayability. I hope everything Yacht Club Games creates is to this quality because they will have a lifelong fan if that is the case.

good Grief!! masterpiece level shit right here I succumb Yacht Club Games you command me!

There's a reason why this game is considered to be the one of the greatest indie success stories of all time. Base game Shovel Knight is an excellent 2D platformer, and the various remixes included in Treasure Trove are tons of fun too. Shovel Knight is nothing mind-blowing in terms of genre innovation, but it aces nearly everything it set out to do.

When I first picked up shovel knight near when it was released in 2014 i didn’t think much of it. It had beautiful sprite work, the music was perfect, and it harkened back to many of my favorite 8bit games (duck tales, castlevania, mario). But I must have been crazy, I came back to it a few years later and binged through not just shovel knight but each expansion and with each one my opinion of the games and Yacht Club grew.

This is really a phenomenal package that shows off incredible design chops. There is so much gaming value packed into these games and the way every expansion recontextualizes the levels and characters is incredible.

didnt finish the king knight dlc

I bought this game for like 15 bucks back in the day and I got the rest for free. Mad props for the game actually being excellent too, really was my shit when it came out.

Megaman'den oldukça esinlenmiş harika bir indie platformer oyunu.

Money mechanic is so dumb it costs it an entire star

What was once a $15 purchase that I thought was a bit light on content ended up being one of the longest lasting and most complete experiences I had on the console. This game just doesn't slack on anything, and each campaign only gets better on each replay.

I think for every mistake or perceived flaw this and it's expansions have, there is a great handful of well-designed levels, mechanics and charming moments that make it worth playing and replaying in my mind.

I'm especially a big fan of the message that being short and full of heart is how you get bad bitches to want you.

This is four of the best indie platformers ever in one reasonably-priced package. Playing them back-to-back might induce some fatigue, but the mechanics of the individual games are so distinct that they each manage to stand out in their own way. If you like 8-bit platformers in the slightest, this is a must-buy.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is one game that became 5 games. The original, Shovel Knight, was already phenomenal. A platformer that mixes old school vibes with new school feel. Now, imagine 3 more iterations of that but playing as new characters (who you fought as bosses in the original game) with all new abilities, stages, etc. Plus, there's a random fighting game thrown in there that is surprisingly well done.

Gráficos lindos para o estilo 8 bits, músicas fantásticas, level design justo e desafiador, personagens carismáticos.

an absolute masterpiece of an old-school action platformer.
so much polish and variety in each corner of this game makes it an absolute must-play for any sane Gaming Enjoyer.
I'll admit that challenging games often scare me as i am sometimes a Little Baby Boy but this game understands how difficulty should work in games and i wish other studios would do the same.
also yacht club is so bonkers for giving us so much more content after the game's main release for free.
easy 5/5

Amazing. Four incredible games in one 40$ package. Some parts feel a little unfair, but pretty much everything else is near perfection.

king knight was boring and i hated the card game but the other 3 campaigns slayed. especially plague knight

I'm a sucker for 2D Platformers. All together as a complete package, I'd say that Shovel Knight and the expansions constitute the best 2D platformer ever made.

The platonic ideal of 2D platforming.

I gave this a rating of the average of the rating of the games contained within, not including Showdown because I see it as a bonus alternate game and it kind of sucks.

my order of shovel knight campaigns from weakest to greatest
1. shovel of hope
2. plague of shadows
3. specter of torments
4. king of cards
shovel of hope just feels really clunky to me in a way i can't describe, combat in shovel of hope also boils down to just spamming your down attack until the boss dies or you respawn to do it again,
the rest though i have no issues with. plague knight is my favorite knight even if the other campaigns are really fun i like building different bombs and obliterating bosses with the bombs i've made, specter knight focuses solely on making the platforming and combat more fun and succeeds and king of cards is a wario landesque campaign that comes with a card game that kicks ass, get it if you want but you may not want to start with shovel of hope

The gold standard for modern retro style platformers

if you didn't beat all the dlc's you didn't play the game
