I love how they took the critique to the first game and actually listened. We now have female guards, witches, Emily as a protag and I loved it. Still think the Outsider is a dick for giving Emily her mother's heart but that's who he is so what did I really expect? :/
Found the villainess to be rather sympathetic which was also nice!
I was this close to writing "the wasps made me antsy!" holy shit. I mean- they did but...yeah.
I also enjoyed Emily's powerset and the tiny ways the player got to explore who she is. Feels like a continuation from what Corvo got in the first part.
The songs the bards played were also really, really nice!

it has amazing art and world-building, but lacking in IS elements, and stealth is tedious in comparison to its prequel.
all the "new" stuff is not improving the game more like some fun but forgettable gimmick.
has some interesting level designs but are too short and being drawn back by other missions due to their mediocracy

Takes what made the first game great and only improves on them. Such a great game; the movement feels great, especially Blink/Far Reach, and the environment and character designs are absolutely phenomenal. I own the art book and it's just incredible, the amount of skill and passion put into developing this game.
really enjoyable follow up to the first game and the new setting, story and charaters are lovely. the dual protagonists is kind of awkward though. while i enjoyed playing the game as corvo and there were definitely moments that justified it, it seems like it is a much stronger narrative from emily's pov.

I played this game a lot, and I enjoy it. Being able to choose between both characters is super cool and I think the game hasn't some killer levels that are super unique, and I also enjoyed the morality system a little bit more because they did a better job with your targets but the flaws of the original are still there. I recommend doing a low chaos run on Emily, and a high chaos run on Corvo.

this game is mostly better than the original, but has a few questionable moments that knock it down a bit for me. the game doesn't react to your chaotic choices nearly as much anymore, pretty much amounting to a "fuck you" from a random unnamed citizen if you kill too many people. i wouldn't say that the Chaos system in the first game was anything incredible, but being dropped onto the final mission knowing it was made harder by your choices was genuinely interesting! in any case, most of my problems with this game are nitpicks, and it's still worth picking up especially if you love the original. also the cover of Gold Dust Woman they used in one of the trailers goes hard as fuck
