Dragon Ball Z Budokai, but on the go. What this game lacks in creativity and story it makes up for in portability. It is disappointing to me that you can't customize your techniques like in the original trilogy, however, the fast-paced action is still all there, and the mission-based story mode was pretty fun to playthrough. If you liked playing the Budokai series, you will most likely enjoy this game as well, but otherwise, it is fine.

It's not even that good but I have a soft spot for this game

Along with Shin Budokai 2 probably the best realization of the Budokai combat system. All of the annoying gimmicks from: Budokai 3, Infinite World, and Burstlimit are removed providing a pure & refined gameplay expereince. Some of the variety from the capsule system has been lost but characters are limited to 1 transformation so they can't cheese with stun. Nothing impressive or offensive about the story mode, just pure battles of varying challenge.

(The combat & roster in Shin Budokai 2 is slightly improved but this is overall the better game)

Having a portable Budokai game blew my mind when this came out.

my cousin let me borrow this i never told him it sucked but it did

Just a lot of fun. Basically budokai on the go which was fantastic to play on the way to school or on a trip.

a solid fighting game. Despise its lack of online, it has good fast paced gameplay, and good graphics.

Overall, if you want a good handheld dbz game, this ones for you. 3.5/5 7/10

A lot of the mechanics were annoying

Very fun dragon ball experience, while lacking the amount of characters compared to that of Raging blast 1 and 2, Budokai Tenkaichi 1-3, and even Budokai which these games are based on. This game has an excellent roster of characters from Dragon ball Z, having all of its iconic villians, as well as some movie villians like Janemba, Cooler, and Broly. The game is a great on the go game to play, especially if you prefer the Budokai style. A great game, but still if you want an amazing Dragon Ball Experience, I say play Budokai Tenkaichi 3 or Xenoverse 2. If you want an amazing Dragon Ball fighting game, I say Burst Limit, Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Budokai 3, or FighterZ. Still this game is very fun and I recommend it :D

Bom pra passar o tempo.

Shin Budokai is a weird retelling of the Fusion Reborn movie. Played it out of curiosity, and some story battles were sort of neat.

budokai gameplay on psp.
what is it with bamco and releasing these things all weird in a million random version across the US and JP with different names. THEY'RE ALL THE SAME FUCKING GAME FFS

This is literally just Great Value Budokai 3. It's okay and the game plays fine, but if you already played Budokai 3 or Infinite World, then you ain't missing much.

Seemed better in my memories, but it's just an average game, the history is just 'ok', I feel relief that I finished.
