Probably the ultimate way to experience Project DIVA for now, as it is the most completed PD game regarding content, with even the songs from the latest Switch release getting ported to PS4 (as paid DLC) and a very fun and complex rhythm game overall
This game only has two songs in it, so you are thinking that’s awful. But the DLC adds the actual 200+ songs into the game so why bother making the game free with no content? Besides from that, with the DLC there’s a large variety of songs from over the years across consoles and it's probably the best way to play one of these games.
The purchase model is fucked but it's just so many damn songs.
I'm not a fan of most vocaloid stuff but this game scratched the same itch that Guitar Hero did back in the day. Looks absolutely gorgeous and it's sick how nearly every song has it's own completely different music video to go along with it which is more than can be said for most rhythm action games.
Lazy port of the arcade future tone, the gameplay is not suited for gamepad and in general the new gen gameplay of project diva is just not very fun and higher level charts rely on muscle memory. If you want to play project diva I heavily recommend F and F2nd instead which are much more fun and even the charting is just better

I play this maybe once a year. I prefer Sekai on mobile since it's a ton more accessible than booting up the PS4. Good rhythm game overall, just wish it wasn't console locked.
