A good time. Definitely a little dated. Worlds felt hit or miss. Glad I played it, but probably not one I’ll revisit more than once.

Played this both when it came out, but also with the Switch collection. Both experiences were fantastic and this game overall is just amazing. 3D Mario is truly just an unstoppable franchise.

Galaxy 2 better
Took me a while to finally get around to fully completing it but yeah, I've got to say this is the best Mario game and maybe the best platformer I've ever played. Super Mario Galaxy is as grand as its operatic score and as generously rich as its (still shockingly beautiful) visuals. Such an incredibly creative setup for a Mario game, everything was firing on all cylinders here. I could go on forever gushing about it but everyone already knows this game is magical and that we need to appreciate it because pieces of art like this only come around once in a lifetime (I've never played the sequel).

Maybe I'm being harsh with the score here, but I do see a 4/5 as a great game. I massively enjoyed this when it came out, but haven't had the chance to replay it.
When this game was fresh, I went crazy for it. But when I 100%'d it a couple years back, I was bored the whole way through, trudging along hoping it would pick up.
But I wonder if it would make a good album game? My music backlog is huge and it's getting even bigger this Christmas season.

2nd best mario game
Back when this game was recent, young me would play the heck out of it until I 100% the game. The highlight of this game was unlocking Luigi. When I first saw that I thought "holy crap it's red mario, the guy from dunkeys goty mario 2".

Este juego tiene 2 cosas malas: primero que existe el 2 que lo deja practicamente obsoleto en todo. Lo segundo es que no tiene coleccionables (con eso me refiero a objetos secundarios que recolectar explorando el nivel). Parece una gilipollez, pero si mi recompensa por encontrar una tubería escondida en un nivel es una vida (las cuales se reinician cada vez que cierras el juego) pues solo consigue que no tenga ganas de explorar los niveles, y personalmente eso es lo que más disfruto de los juegos de Mario.
Al margen de eso poco más, alguna galaxia más bullshit de la cuenta. Si no tuviera secuela le pondría más nota probablemente

This game is amazing, a good old platformer with tons of good content and a gorgeous atmosphere. The only thing is that i wished this game offered you more freedom with his movements like 64 or sunshine did.
