Tried playing this again after having a really good time with Uncharted 2. I just don't think I can play through this game again. It feels so bad to play. Drakes animations are all over the place and the character and camera get caught on so much of the geometry. Its quote astonishing how bad it can feel to just move around and shoot in this thing.
Changing my rating from 2 stars to 1 star. Cant belive I actually ended up enjoying this worse than 1. The story was never something to take super seriously or anything but it's just so hilariously bad in this game too. Not even in fun campy ways theres just lazy plot devices and stupid moments constantly and for no reason other than seeming laziness or poor planning on the part of the storytellers.

I'm surprised to see such complaints about the controls and such here, because I had zero beef with them. This game is perfectly paced, and unlike UC1 or 2, I never found myself bored at any point in this game. Every part of the game is a distinct and memorable set piece, and the story is significantly more engaging than previous games. The big shootouts that had grown to wear on me so much from UC1 and 2 now almost all take place in very interesting arenas that make them unique. Finally being able to chuck grenades back at my foes and having to prioritize my targets in order to avoid being blasted by the heavily armored hulk lumbering toward me with a shotgun made things far more interesting for me. I did not groan at the frequency of combat like I did in previous games. UC3 is also smart enough not to attempt a genuine final boss after the disaster that was the final encounter of UC1, and the underwhelming end of UC2.

This game is really fun and, in some aspects, improves on the storytelling of the last game.
So what's the issue?
What's the deal with Talbot? One of the biggest plot holes of a character I have seen in a video game who has UBER plot armor for NO REASON. The dude gets shot and lives, with no explanation. The dude is able to teleport, FOR NO REASON. They acknowledge it in the game, multiple times, and at the end where you think they would explain it, YOU SHOOT HIM AND HE IS DEAD. LIKE WHAT THE HELL.
The game would be better than 2 if there was more time on the story. If there was more time fleshing out the plot holes and the villans, as they did with Sully and Nate's relationship, this game would be amazing.
