Uncharted 3 is probably my favorite in the series, if I had to pick one. But Lost Legacy is probably the best.
It's short, it's focused, and it's refined. It has the benefit of standing on the shoulders of one of the most prolific franchises in gaming. By now, the formula is down to a science. But the game is not clinical. It's exciting, vibrant, and explosive. The whole thing is just focused. That's the word I kept coming back to. The story is smaller scale and the game is shorter. The cast is smaller. The fat has been trimmed. It's got a bit more freedom to it, but because it's primarily contained in one sandbox without a lot of traveling to other locations, it feels tighter.
I love the characters, and the villain is good too. Some Uncharted villains aren't very likable, but I liked this one. Nadine's arc is executed absolutely perfectly. Based on her relationship with Chloe when the game starts, you shouldn't take to her too quickly, but you should at least find her a believable partner. They also don't want to make you too warm to her too quickly in a way that would feel rushed, and they succeed there as well. I went from guarded and cautious of Nadine to full Stan by the end, and they sell it well.
The core gameplay mechanics, including the grappling hook, are essentially unchanged from 4. The mechanics all still work as well as ever here, and I had a really good time tackling the various action bits as stealthily as I could manage, and I even got some trophies for my efforts. I kept restarting encounters to get them as clean as I could. But when stuff pops off and you go whole hog, that's always fun, too.
The visuals are gorgeous, animation is terrific, the story is great, and it's all just bomb. I think there's a solid case Lost Legacy is the best in the series.

One of the strongest entries in the Uncharted franchise and really fun to play, the story is really well written and the characters are very likable proven over the fact this game made me like a character (Nadine) I otherwise hated in Uncharted 4. Uncharted 4 is my favourite entry in the series and this comes in at a very close second.
Lost legacy fells like a entire new Uncharted game, it still has characters that you know, but here the game is telling you their story, expanding on what you know and even more.
Chloe and Nadine left behind (hehe) their secondary role to take the game by storm, and honestly? if there were to be another Uncharted, i would rather be with they.
The game stills fells like Uncharted 4, breathtaking landscapes, stealth and action sequences and one or another shutouts, but here the puzzles have a more important appearance, and that really improves the array of gameplay mechanics this game has.
The narrative is excellent, even your third character is okay here, of course it has the uncharted structure and all that, but enjoyable nonetheless. It's a must play for story driven fans, a smaller but never worst experience

Shortfire burst that really suits the game, way less filler than the other entries in the franchise. Open areas felt exciting to explore, story was on par if not better than the rest of Naughty Dog's work. Wish the game had something unique mechanically to set it apart from Uncharted 4, but it was a great last romp for this franchise.
