A quite stylish puzzle game with the use of some fun and interesting physics. You can go through walls that are in complete darkness and the light illuminating things and making them solid matter. A very weird game with no actual story to speak of, but the design itself is also very interesting and reminds me of Limbo.

Well worth a try for anyone who's a puzzle fanatic and has the time to spare for this game's many levels.

Very creepy! Collision detection is bad, but as good as it can be for this concept.

"A Promising Puzzle That Fails To Entertain"

Closure is a puzzle game where the objective is to maneuver a weird spider-like demon through a multitude of levels while interacting with light and darkness in order to proceed. The visuals are strictly in black, white, and grey, with dark imagery scattered around each level. The music has a darker tone to fit with the game's theme, though there are very few tracks that are simplistic.

The movement is sort of physics based, and many objects have momentum to them. While this sounds cool in practice, it really isn't that fun to have objects launch themselves off of the map due to physics anomalies. If this happens, you'll have to restart the whole level, which starts t get really irritating for some of the later stages in the game.

The core light/dark element is interesting, but is really the only mechanic that the game boasts. While the first few levels are novel and somewhat cool, the later levels become trial-and-error slogs that really struggle to differentiate themselves from each other. There's about 70+ levels, all of which simply revolve around one core mechanic. Unfortunately, the visuals and gameplay fail to make this a compelling game to play, and trap it within the realms of "meh".

The rest of the gameplay revolves around using keys to unlock doors, using lamps to alter light, placing orbs in various positions/containers, swimming, etc. I felt the game didn't really have anything else to offer besides the light/dark mechanic, and that got old for me pretty fast.

As a whole, I would Not Recommend this game unless you really like the idea of altering light inside a 2D puzzle game. The surrounding mechanics are pretty dull, and the physics system makes solving some puzzles a huge chore. This game failed to really captivate me, and failed to interest me in the process. If you are a HUGE puzzle game fan, this one might be worth checking out, but only if you like the core mechanic.

Final Verdict: 3/10 (Poor)

this game desperately needed some sort of savestate feature

You ever play a game and have the trophies to prove it, then immediately forgot that you ever played it? Me neither.
