A somewhat competent JRPG that doesn't really do much to stand out. Clearly meant for Fairy Tail fans and not many others. The turn-based combat takes place on a sort of grid, and doesn't really try to become any more complex than it is near the start of the adventure. The story is also just a retelling of the events of the source material, taking place many arcs into the narrative. Only look into this if you're an existing fan, or REALLY need an RPG to bide your time.

Fun game and easy platinum, but ONLY play it if you are already a fan

Only play this if you love the show. I repeat. ONLY PLAY TH—

If you're not a fan of Fairy Tail I don't know why you'd ever play this. As a fan, I had a blast actually. This game is clearly held together with duct tape and spit and the DLC is scummy but I'd expect nothing less for a game like this. I had fun running around as characters I love and playing what is honestly a very basic JRPG and watching them do moves from the anime/manga. It's a mess but it's a fun mess.

As a Fairy Tail fan, I'm pretty disappointed. This game could have been so much more... but we vibe. I love Erza

The game decides to start 200 chapters into the story for some reason, but it's decent gameplay wise and visually. The DLC is pure scum though charging hundreds of pounds for characters and costumes.

Pretty sloppy in a lot of areas, but I shill this series so I got my money's worth

It covers my two favourite arcs so I like it

i was so excited for this game up until its release. for some fucking reason the devs thought it would be a good idea to not only poorly summarize the events from the manga, but they decides it was a good fucking idea to START THE GAME AT THE END OF TENROU ISLAND AND END IT AT THE END OF TARTAROS. not only did they cut out most of the best parts of the story but they also made the final arc postgame and not even finish the whole thing. the only good thing i can say was the combat is really good. overall it's a dogshit game and, as a huge fairy tail fan and fan of mashima's works in general it broke my heart to think of what this game could have been.

It wasn't bad, but clearly you should be a fan of the show to enjoy it and still... only 2 arcs, and you start in the middle of the show, if you didn't watch the anime or read the manga you'll be a bit lost. lots of questionable dlc content (costumes...) at high price, some changes in the story to fit the gameplay which is weird. (wendy became a god slayer ? maybe its the french translation that was weird when i played.) weird spikes in difficulty going from laughably easy to absolute hell with mobs being dozens of levels higher than your characters in end game. for good points it did had good music, but you get tired easily of always hearing the same battle songs over and over, animations for special attacks were great, also seeing the characters interact with each-other when leveling up their friendship was a good idea ! it made it feel like we are actually rewarded for playing the game if we watched the anime. even if it has little impact to the gameplay it doesn't matter. talking about characters, we have a good variety of them. in terms of gameplay and also fans favorites with some others surprises as well. we also have a good number of costumes even without the DLC's. but it still sucks to pay that much money for a bunch of skins. Building the guild hall, seeing it progress etc. feels satisfying while not being too much of an annoyance to level up. secondary quest with some minimal plot was okay. but the hunting quest where you gotta just kill some mobs sucks. especially since they are necessary for the platinum trophy. at least you can make some easy in game money with it. So yeah play the game if you liked the anime. if not then you will certainly won't get that much fun. also platinum isn't hard, by the end of the game you already got most trophy's and the ones that are left aren't too much of a pain in the ass

Solid JRPG packed full of your favourite characters (if you like Fairy Tail). The only real issue I have is the grindy nature of the game. Grind out boring requests, grind out affection between party members, grind to raise the guild's rank. Everything is a grind. It's very repetitive and gets boring fast.
Might pick back up at a later point.

I can play as Lucy in a bikini and that's enough for me👍

I really liked it, however its obvious this was just a fan service game that didn't feel fully complete.

I platinumed this game

Don't play this game
