My favorite atmosphere and aesthetic that's ever been in a game and a story that leaves you on the edge of your seat

Great game, very atmospheric and cozy. I had some bugs but they were not critical.

my fav walking sim with compelling dialogue and magnificent environment. the plot of the game is interesting enough, whilst it progressively gets more engaging and addictive up until the drop of the biggest twist in the story somewhere near the end of the game. although not the best you will ever see, two main characters still are quite interesting to follow around, especially Henry, character who we play as, as he almost perfectly represents emotions and thoughts of the player troughout the entirety of the game. ending that is supposed to feel underwhelming and disappointing, for both Henry and you as the player, however one that still manages to be very impactful and overall enjoyable. definitely worth your time.

this was fun! i like the part where you find the journal of your alzheimers-riddled wife and see she’s drawn a nude sketch of you and they full on show you the penis

It was..... such an expirience.

Firewatch is a short indie game about a guy who is set to watch for fires in the forest. The gameplay is very simple you basically just walk around and interact with stuff. The game shines in its environment and story. The graphic aren't amazing but the actual location is pretty cool and engaging. The story is actually pretty good, it gets you very hooked into it and there is a solid plot twist. But the worst part is the ending. It was super anticlimactic and it didn't feel resolved whatsoever. 6/10

Reviewing every game i've fully completed #28

Very inmersive, specially deactivating the map location
the ending kinda sucked and it was kinda confusing but i liked the fact that i actually was feeling like a firewatch
shit got bugged in the middle mission tho
i kinda liked it anyways

So much better than I thought it would be.

One of the breakthrough games for the modern indie era. Mechanics, story telling, exploration and emotional theme are all connected and cleverly made. Doesn't feel dated and definitely influenced modern indie titles in a good way.

Nothing special other than that though and ending, although fitting to the theme, feels frustrating.

Vale a pena demais.

This game feels like a cathartis that never arrives. I think the writing is fucking stellar, just how everyone fucking freaks out in these kinds of situations only for the real story to just be really fucking depressing. Makes me feel kinda empty and sad.

Firewatch is a charming experience full of gorgeous vistas and impressive voice acting. As someone who enjoys backpacking and camping, I think the setting gelled with me well and carried some of the more monotonous gameplay moments. You need to enjoy walking and looking at pretty things, because that's really all there is to do in this game. Thankfully, you're accompanied by excellent voice acting and the illusion of choice in your dialogue options, and the chemistry and banter between Delilah and Henry often made me smile. Many folks gripe about the ending, but for me it was a reminder that at the end of the day, experiences in life are temporary, and often end in unsatisfying ways. I do wish there was less hand-waving of the conspiratorial/borderline horror elements, but turning it into more of a personal story was alright.

100% Completion Notes: Walk around, find fun and cute easter eggs, beat the game. A great achievement palate cleanser after something difficult or grindy.

I expected a nice walk, not a psychological thriller

Relaxing! Other than yk the mystery horror aspect I enjoyed taking pictures of the scenery and talking to Delilah. A semi predictable ending but also satisfying. I don't like Henry very much because of how he was with Julia but I liked how his dialogue and how it changed over the course of the game. Played in one sitting. ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ

The best walking simulator you'll ever play, it'll make you cry, laugh and smile.

Remember when valve bought this studio and there next game was never completed?

Valve moment

a bit too slight for me but i loved the vibes

Great art, cool story, but disappointed by where the story goes towards the end (like many others).

Banger of game, chill with good ambience and music , nice storytelling , wish it was a little bit longer.

I haven't finished a game in 1 seating in a while
firewatch its more like a movie than a game , the core gameplay mechanics are not very sophisticated pretty basic fp stuff
the best part of the game is the dialogue between Henry (you) and ur boss
im not tryn to spoil anything
ik people don't really f with the ending I think it fits really well
I love how u just get lost in the forrest that's just lovely imo
the more u play the more crazier the plot gets which again I love that
I wish this game was a bit longer although imo its way better to feel like this towards a game/movie then to pray 4 it to end sooner
I really recommend on playn this game in 1 seating cuz it really isn't a long one
in the end I really like this game it makes u think about ur life I think I ll replay this game when I ll be in my 30s or 40s (or maybe im just glazin crazy man in forest idk check it out tho)

(Spoiler Free): It's a very short game. It is mostly dialog options between you and D, whom is the other firewatch tower and your boss. The game has a sad opening and the plot gets crazy before a bit of a crazy ending. It's somewhat like a few episodes of a Series or like a movie. Decent plot but no fun mechanics and middle-of-the-road graphics. It's mainly the story here. If that's your thing, try it out. Maybe buy it on sale like I did.

The game sadly ran terribly on my 5800x3d/3080 pc, which took a lot of enjoyment out of the game, but I still enjoyed the story especially the start to midway point. Cosy/relaxing gave me Her (2013 film) vibes. If anybody knows why the game constantly stuttered/dropped fps I'd love to know, I even lowered resolution down to 1080 and turned the settings down to low.
