Such an incredibly fun game, both while being a great package of content and a really good entrypoint to STG. While I probably would have enjoyed it still, I don't think I really would have understood how good it is without having played the GG Aleste games recently beforehand. (absolutely not required though.)

The mechanics are super straightforward, but feel incredibly rewarding once you really master them and also feel like genuine "training" and applicable skills to bring forward playing other shooters. Novice mode w/Auto Shield is a breezy 40 min playthrough, so maybe give more of the game a shot afterwards as well.

If you're struggling with the game, I highly recommend playing through the first couple of missions in Mission Mode. May seem counter intuitive, but it will explain how the game works incredibly fast and extraordinarily well.

Love GC for its kinda cool mechanics. I feel that sometimes it can be exploited and I kinda need the depth and longevity in a shmup. But again cute and definitely wirth checking out perhaps GC GM.

Very cute little shmup with a charming pixel art style.

Graze Counter is a doujin SHMUP which is pretty self explanatory, the main gimmick is that you are extremely encouraged to graze enemy bullets. It charges your bullet clearing burst attack and some characters have special abilities that activate by grazing as well.
That's another thing, there are multiple playable characters to unlock, giving Graze Counter some replay value as well.
Aesthetically the game is competent too, the graphics are low res, but nice and I think the music is good, especially the main theme.
Also, Graze Counter comes with a novice difficulty setting and the normal mode has dynamic difficulty so I think anyone with working reflexes can enjoy it.

Shoutout to the extra level kind of going off the charts.

Picked this up on a whim since I liked Supercharged Robot VULKAISER by the same devs and the premise seemed cool (I swear, I didn't know the main characters were crossdressing twinks until after I got it, honest!).

While I didn't take to it quite as much as I hoped, I'm willing to admit it's less the fault of the game and more me not being experienced with the genre. It's a solid game overall, just not one for a beginner like me. To my knowledge, the remake is better in that regard.

Just your average top down bullet hell.

Really fun bullet hell with great mechanics over all with lot of chances for replaying to play and unlock the other characters. It's such an enjoying moment when you use your break and graze gauge to remove bullets on the screen for points. Give this game some love on Steam.
