Jurassic World Evolution is pretty cool if you love dinosaurs! Building your dream dino-park is fun for a while – hatching dinos, engineering exhibits, the whole deal. But after some time, it feels more like a business simulator, and the excitement fades unless you're really into micromanaging. The occasional dino-breakout spices things up, but overall it's better as a chill park builder with a neat dinosaur twist than a thrilling survival experience.
When I was a kid, I spent thousands and thousands of hours playing Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, literally, I spent years playing the game. Jurassic World Evolution is pretty much the same as Operation Genesis, it gives the exact same vibes, but with modern graphics, better AI, more dino species, a larger variety of buildings, the possibility to modify the dinosaur's DNA (including their skin colours), more challenges, and much more!
My childhood managed to be revived in a modern game, it's amazing how it shares similarities with JPOG.

Do you remember the feeling when you watched Jurassic Park for the first time? The excitement and the dinosaurs was amazing! This game comes quite close to it for me.
Jurassic World Evolution is not the best or the most complex management sim on the planet and that's totally fine. The point of the game is the dinosaurs and they look gorgeous.
This game made me feel happy and fuzzy inside and I loved to photograph my dinosaurs. In the end, most people will enjoy this game for the dinosaurs. It's a great dinosaur management game and visually beautiful.
I used a lot of time in this game, and I can definitely say that it is worth it. I do think 44,99€ for the basic edition is a little too much though.

When I saw jurassic park for the first time back in 2014, I fell in love with it, and dinosaurs ever since, so when this game came out when I was in 4th grade, I was desperate to get my hands on it, and I didn't like it at first and didn't touch it for a while.
Then I got bronchitis one day in 2022 and was stuck at home for a week, and while going through my playstation library I decided to play it again, and in one week, I had completed the game, got the dinosaurs, the islands, sandbox mode, and enjoyed it for a while until JWE2, when I decided to close out for one last time before switching, finishing all of my unfinished park builds and getting 100% completion before closing out for good.

Jurassic Park: "Nature as we know it is chaos, especially nature beyond the reaches of human knowledge, and to try to bend it to our will for the sake of personal advancement is the most fatal of hubris."
This game: "Okay so each dinosaur has seven sliders and as long as you keep those sliders in the blue nothing will ever change or go wrong, except for whatever story mode's bullshit mission system throws at you or occasionally a tornado. Have fun making a lot of money that you can't actually do anything with!"
