Playing this at parties is mind numbing

One of the best PlayLink games for parties. Enormous amount of questions that mostly never repeated. Great replayability

Buzz! died so this crap can live. Unlike the previous Sony gameshow game this one is a complete disappointment in every font.
You spend 10 seconds to answer questions and then wait one minute to listen to the insufferable host explain the basic rules again and again. Awful.

The gane is unbearable due to the lengthy, unskippable animations. Playing a few rounds could be quite fun, but having to sit through those animations (which are worsened the more players in the match) means that it's just a chore. Shame.

I played it all of one (1) time over COVID with my family. We were that bored.

It was fun in the moment but it had less than zero staying power.

This is another Playlink title which will have plays combatting in trivia using their phones as their controller. The game requires each player to download an app and all be connected to the same WiFi which can be a hassle at gatherings.

Knowledge is Power takes place over several rounds, where players vote on a category for each question. While there’s some player choice, once you set down a general path you’re going to see category options along those lines for a round.

There are also additional speed round segments where you might have to match related words or sort items into categories. These are a good way to break things up.

Points are scored based on who answers the fastest, and there’s an added layer where each player can pick somebody else to sabotage and make it harder to answer. That could mean forcing them to tap away at ice or rubbing away slime to select the answer they want. It can be pretty tough if you’re in the lead and all players target you.

Knowledge is Power does tend to drag its feet a bit between questions and it can get tedious watching the animations of players getting attacked with items and the like. Additionally, it can feel like the final round has too much weight.

Knowledge is Power is nevertheless a fun time despite its flaws and a fun alternative to Jackbox Party Packs.

Honestly a really fun game to play with friends, probably some of the most fun i've had playing a game like this.

Cumple con su función dentro de la gama de juegos PlayLink, que es ser divertido para echar el rato con amigos. Por lo tanto, para ciertas ocasiones es una opción ideal si buscas unas risas bien acompañado.

Fun quiz game that me and my wife like to play on weekends :--)

Pretty good trivia game and a nice alternative to Trivia Murder Party if you ever needed one. Being able to attack other players is a simple and pretty fun dynamic. I just wish you could fast forward the animations or that the game was smart enough to know when to skip animations of people that are not being attacked. Not much else to say

Great party game with high replay value.

I love Knowledge is Power. It is the ultimate party game of choice when friends or family come to visit. It is easy to play, hilarious and overall, just a good way to spend some time.

The game is just a 10 round quiz with two minigames and a finale, in which you answer questions about a certain theme, that is chosen by the majority of the players. An app is used to interact with the game on screen, which is loaded via the PlayStation.

You got so called Power Plays to hinder other players, in which you blur their screens with slime, freeze answers so they need to tap through the ice and many others. My favorite one are the little bombs that one must avoid when tapping on the answer. If a bomb is tapped, the ugly face of the player who gave it to you is displayed Fullscreen.

After 10 rounds, you play the finale on the “Pyramid of Knowledge” and the players answer questions as fast as possible. The one who is the fastest, jumps up five ladders on the stairs. The winner gets a scroll with a random fact that you probably never heard of.

It is good fun and after one game, another one starts immediately most of the time. Grab a beer and lets go.

Graphicly, Knowledge is Power looks jolly and colorful. There are some fancy effects and fireworks in the background and the animations are funny.

Sound wise, the game is fine, the same music track loops over and over again, but with enough variation that it does not drive you mad. The voice acting of the host and the silly sound effects are on point.

There are some small issues with the game. You got some instability issues sometimes between the connection of the phone and the PlayStation, character faces are not always replaced by the hideous selfie that you took to play as that character, and sometimes, your screen just does not respond very well.

Then there is the slow pacing of the game. The intro, the explanations, the animations of the Power Plays, it takes forever. This is especially frustrating in the finale, where every player gets targeted by at least four or five of the Power Plays and you need to watch every animation of every character before moving on.

But overall, Knowledge is power is just a great party game and I would recommend it to everyone.

7+/10

Another Playlink title that is just extremely fun to play with friends. Might get boring due to unskippable animations, but for me it's awesome.

It seems to have a lot of possible questions and the fake stop-motion style is cute but the format is too simple and the pyramid at the end destroys every progress earned before so the winner is always random.

Juego divertido para jugar en local con amigos o familiares.

Casual trivia party game. Your phone is your controller. Can get repetitive. Horrible spiritual successor to Buzz.

The theme is bland and had a lot of repeating questions by the third game. It's okay at best.

Divertidisimo si lo juegas con tus amigos, el mejor trivial sin duda.
