This feels like an unnecessary game! Yeah the graphic update was good but for a lot of things I prefered the original better! The game and the Giant Bowser animations ran at 30 FPS, kinda annoying but not a big deal. Bowser Jr's Journey was nice but like Bowser's minions, the game mechanic bored me after a while. AlphaDream had to remake Partners in Time first, it was a bad move to release a remake of a DS game on the 3DS that is retrocompatible and moreover the era of the 3DS was coming to an end. I'm sorry that this game was AlphaDream's reason of Bankruptucy. I really hope one day, we will have new M&L games... It won't happen but never say never!
The graphics are much better in this version than I love how it ended the 3DS’s game cycle. Bowser’s inside story 3D’s a lot of fun and is a good remake of one of my favorite RPG games. Bowser Jr.’s Journey is also kind of fun. The best part about it is some of the dialogue is throughout the story, it is hilarious. The gameplay itself is not the best, but then it is still fun, and I played through the whole thing.
I think the best addition to this version is the fact that they included a digital soundtrack of both this one and the DS version.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable game. I think the combat may have been better in M&L:SS, but almost everything else was better in BIS. The story was better, the writing was more enjoyable (and pretty funny/witty at times), and it was a good time from start to finish. My only real gripe was that a good number of the Bros moves were finicky/hard to time right.

I used to really dislike this game. The original is my favorite game of all time and I didn't think the remake did it justice. Over time, however, I've grown to understand this game is just...okay. The main problem is the frame rate. It runs at 30 fps and often dips, which is strange as not only did the previous remake, Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, run at 60 but the ORIGINAL Bowser's Inside Story ran at 60. This may not sound too bad to anyone who hasn't played the original, but a poor framerate does hurt the enjoyment of the game. On the bright side, the environments look incredible, especially in the final area, plus the new music made for two particular bosses are great and a welcome addition. If you haven't played the original, this is a fine enough way to experience it, but if you can, please please please play the original.
The game itself is fantastic, but there's no real reason for this remake to exist, since it doesn't add anything of significance.
I like what they did with the giant battles, since you no longer need to breathe into the microphone to perform Bowser's fire breath move. The 3D cutscenes before and after said battles are neat as well, but that's about it.
Bowser Jr's Journey was fun at first, but it turned into a grindfest rather quickly.
I'll always prefer the original version, but this one is fine if you can't get your hands on it.

Gonna be a bit harsh here, but here we have a remake of a game that absolutely did not need one. Well, that's ok, there are problems with the original that could be remedied and- oh, they didn't fix any of them. Still has a super slow opening that strings you along without any agency. At least there's a side story that I hear is rather good. This is maybe a better introduction to the series than the original, but idk, it really disappointed me. Also not left-hand friendly, which is always a negative.
It's funny how easily misinfo can spread, isn't it? This remake did not "kill" AlphaDream, at least, not by itself. The studio was a sinking ship ever since Paper Jam, and this game is just the point where it fully submerged. A "NEW" Bowser's Inside Story was a last-ditch effort to get back on track, but by that point it was just too late.
I'm sorry about being negative, but what is the point of releasing this on the 3ds? Solid game, but I have the same problems with it as the Superstar remake. The 3ds graphics suck out the joy and fun of what made the pixel graphics good in the first place. Also, everything is dumbed down to a crisp!
