played this for a couple hours months ago and I have zero urge to ever pick it up again
at least the costumes looked good

Mid game. No idea why I bought the DLC.

Pretty fun/repetitive Diablo style action adventure. Great variety of characters and bosses, pretty everyone both a casual or hardcore Marvel fan would want is here especially if your a webhead, played the DLC as well which I think was worth it

Feels like a mobile game a bit in it's side content but the story kept me hooked although felt like it went on a little longer then it should of as it shows you what it has to offer pretty quick, really cool appropriatly comic book style art, story is about what you expect, cool to see this franchise still kicking

7/10

It's a fun time but not much more than that.

Incredibly average, it's a step down from its much more adored prequel but not so much that it becomes a bad game. The mechanics are still there, having a team of 4 heroes or villains fighting hordes of enemies in a 3D version of a beat-em-up, however, the controls feel delayed most times, as if it takes a moment for the game to understand what I'm trying to press.

The game's look is also subpar, as there are many minor graphical issues scattered around the game. The voice acting was nice, and not expected in the slightest, but otherwise, every character felt pretty wooden in their animations.

The content loop is a bit unsatisfying here as well, while there is a full campaign and a large number of challenges and extra modes, it feels completely undermined by the incessant ISO-8 mechanics. These are essential equipment that you have to grind and fuse to get the most out of your team, but this was so poorly executed. It honestly feels like it came from a mobile game with how convoluted the implementation was handled.

Anyone looking for a time waster will find something here, but there is so much better out there. The previous games do this so much better, you'd be better off playing those instead. If you see a deep discount for this game, and you love the Marvel property, then you could take a look.

Really hyped for this game, but ruined by the most horrendous leveling system known to man.

I don’t know what went wrong. Instead of fun, this game just feels like fighting a wall. How did they screw this up? I may go back some day, but yikes.

Was way to hard to see on the Switch screen. Docked to a television, this game is fun.

good character selection, but prefer the older titles, probably nostalgia tho

Man I really didn’t like this game for a long time. The difficulty was randomly frustrating, it has the worst camera in all of video games, and the story and characters were completely uninteresting and bland. But then I randomly got really in the marvel mood so I picked this back up, started playing a shit ton of the challenges, and ended up so addicted. On the surface I can’t even really praise this game but goddamn there must be some catnip in these marvel ultimate alliance games because it completely tapped into my Marvel fandom just like the first one did like 15 years ago. Again, I can’t even say this game is great but goddammit I ended up really liking it.

O combate desse jogo é uma merda! A progressão do jogo é um lixo. Sério mesmo é deplorável a qualidade disso

Fun game until it gets supreme f*cking hard, then starts to be a lot repettitive because of grinding. Abandoned and won't go back

A good old fashioned beat’em up.

It was fun, lots of characters to choose from, although not weighted appropriately leveling. There’s not really anywhere to grind unless you are playing the infinity challenges or playing the same levels over and over again.

This ends meaning your main party will have to be with the characters you acquire during progression, so you may wind up beating the game with Ghost Rider, Storm, Black Panther, and then another character you feel is worth of using the rare XP cubes. That was sort of lame.

Story was simple, but a good twist on the films that have come out. We get to travel all over the marvel universe, and meet tons of different heroes and villains. Lots of unlockables.

Onto the DLC next.

a good superhero game. not the best, but still good.

moon knight is in this one so it was at least that good

picked this up on a whim even though the trailers made it look like a mess and i mean its fun. its very simple though and while all the characters are different the game play usually boils down to spamming heavy attacks. its a fun time though and theres a lot of content here with the postgame rifts and challenges as well as multiple playthroughs and dlc modes. if you see it on sale and have a buddy or 2 to bash through it with i can definitely recommend it

Super grindy beat 'em up, but we sure did grind for a while. More fun with friends.

just $60 mobile game, I long for the day we get a Marvel Allience game half as good as Lego Marvel Superheroes.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Mid Order

I really liked it but it didnt feel like a 3rd game of the series.

About as Great a 4 star can get. The gameplay is fun, the powers let you escape the button mashing that was so common in the previous Ultimate Alliance games. UA3 did a great job of incorporating some of the best aspects of those games. The powers were great and the ability to use them in isolation or with teammates was fantastic. Starting off using Deadpool's bullets with Wolverine's slash then transitioning to Wolverine and Moon Knights' upper cut move was chef's kiss. The only reason I cannot make this a 5 was because some aspects were missing, which were present in UA1, and I got soft locked for a split second. In UA1, you had a plethora of powers and abilities that you could choose from, meaning you could custom tailor a hero's play style how you liked. In UA3, each hero only had 4 powers limiting the overall customization possible. The other reason was in Hel, I got to a point where my heros just weren't high enough level to advance. I had to stop, back out, and grind gauntlets to upgrade my heroes. I can't say that was the worst thing, as it allowed me to create my preferable lineup, but it was a little frustrating in the moment. Ultimately, I ended with my squad containing: Moon Knight, Wolverine, Deadpool, and Morbius. A big influence on my team creation was healing factor. I also really like Moon Knight. But, the healing factor seemed the most important hero power overall. I constantly had heroes going down without the healing even though it does less than 100 every now and then, Deadpool and Wolverine, unlocking Morbius later, seemed to never go down, or much more infrequently than heroes without healing. Overall though, the game was incredible. The scope was absolutely impressive, jumping from so many dimensions and including so many vast amount of characters. I always thought UA1 and UA2 had so much more potential left untouched with an entire universe of superheroes. That potential was effectively realized here, in UA3. So many characters, so many settings, so many villains, so much content! I finished the main storyline, all of the vampire dlc (needed to unlock Morbius), and now I'm off to complete the X-Men gauntlet and the Fantastic Four dlc. A great game, one I'd always recommend, and one I'll always remember, even thinking I'll revisit, which for me is rare.

Was very happy with this. Glad Nintendo made it happen, glad Disney let the X-Men back in. Wasn't firing on all cylinders but still a pleasant Beat Em' Up.

This game is simple fun and I really enjoy the character designs. Great with the homies
