Using the Switch version, played all four games, finished each one. Got 90.5% of the challenges (A Rank) on Mega Man 10, and I intend to complete 100% of the challenges on Mega Man 9 someday, but Mr. Perfect is making that difficult to achieve. I will not be returning to the extra challenges for any of the four games—they are fine for bonus content's sake, but ultimately not worth the effort.

Also, while the omission of Mega Man & Bass (8.5, if you will) was initially disappointing, I'm coming to find that the game is not very good, so no big loss there, I guess.

for the games it compiles, it's near-definitive (mega man 8's saturn version content being the only glaring omission) but it could've done with a few more games, as even if the goal was to focus on exclusively the numbered entries, the DLCs for Mega Man 10 lack context without having played the Game Boy's Mega Man World titles, and Mega Man 9 directly references Mega Man & Bass.

While I don't really like 7, 8 was pretty decent and 9 and 10 were absolutely amazing and my two favourite Mega Man games as of writing this and I'd have gotten this for those two alone. I'm giving this collection half a point less than the first one because there's some features I really liked that were removed, such as the Rewind/Save State (now Checkpoint State, which is fine but 7 was tedious to get through), and the Database. I would've liked to see the descriptions of each enemy and Robot Master like in the first one because that gave it more charm and sometimes there were useful tips there. I'm happy the Museum is at least still there. Again, didn't dip my toes much into the Challenges tab but it's cool to have anyway. Overall, while I don't like every game in the bunch and there's a few features I would've liked to see, I still got a lot of great enjoyment from this collection and would definitely recommend.

don't usually review collections but this one should get all the flak it gets for not including Mega Man & Bass which is a super important part of the franchise's history

still everything else is nice and on par with the first one

It's more Megaman of course it's good.
I think the games in the first collection are better but that doesn't mean these are bad.

MM7: The more i replay it the less i like it, i really liked it my first time playing it, now it's just fine.

MM8: The more i replay it the more i like it. Slide Slide Jump Jump was not as bad as i remembered. I still don't like the artstyle but it's a nice game.

MM9: Not a big fan honestly, some bullshit deaths like in Plug Man stage and i miss the Slide for Mega Man. I hate that they try to recapture MM2 because while i get it's importance for the series i feel it's one of the weaker entries. Still a good game.

MM10: I liked it a lot more than MM9, but still not a big fan of the "regression".

While you only get 4 games instead of 6. the second collection is every bit as good as the first. There are challenges with ranked leaderboards again and the games run fantastically. If you want to play Mega Man 7-10 then you need this right now.

This is clearly the oddball compilation out of the two with an SNES game, a PlayStation games, and two NES style games, but still enjoyed them all. Like Legacy Collection 1, this is the definitive way to play Mega Man 7-10. If you are someone who enjoyed the first Legacy Collection, then I recommend picking up the 2nd.

if i was just rating the games itd be a 5 but they fumbled the bag with mm9 and 10. i might be stupid but i straight up cannot figure out how to play the the bonus stage in mm9. also, the punk and enker fights in mm10 are locked behind doing dumb challenges that i literally never want to do.
def up mode is weird, i turned it on for a little bit of 9 but that made the game too piss easy but i guess its nice for beginners. the checkpoint save thing is really useful tho. its basically just the mmz/zx save assist mode but with extra steps. it definitely let you scum it a little bit too much tho. auto fire is busted as always
i love the collection but i dont want to have to go on a treasure hunt for the bonus features in mm9/10. making you manually undub mm8 is lame, as well as the fact that its the fucking ps1 version instead of the cool sega (oxymoron) version that let you fight cut and wood man.
also no mega man and bass for seemingly no reason a translation exists, just put those in the snes version.

overall, very very solid titles all around and definitely the definitive way to experience some of them, but there are a few just confusing missteps along the way.

8>10>7>9

Mega man 8 é o melhor Mega Man do mundo

Four solid games with plenty of addictive side content? Sign me up!

Very solid collection with a lot of great options and an amazing aesthetic, all the while recapturing the Blue Bomber’s greatest adventures, even if 9 has a hard time stacking to the others in my opinion.

Has the best two classic games on here (7 and 9) so it's automatically kino.
Minus half a star for the lack of Mega Man & Bass.

Japanese dub for Mega Man 8 would have been nice, but beside that it's the best way to get the rest from 7 to 10 (thankfully including DLCs, thank you Capcom very cool).

MMLC2
The collection overall is a great deal, in my case where I haven't played 9 and 10 before. It has all the DLCs and a ton of new challenges. This one doesn't have any input lag like the previous Collection did at it's release.
The Collections could have been much more with spin-off games and having everything in a single package instead of splitting in two. It could have had a few love touch ups to perfect it but still does a good job in giving future generations a chance to play them.
3.5/5

MM9
The graphical regression here isn't too much of a nuisance given that there was never much progress before 11 came on the scene. The level design is something that impressed and annoyed me at the same time. There are several creative ways to advance through the stages with the new weapons, making it almost a cakewalk if you know what you're doing. The problem is that it's not intuitive, it wasn't so necessary in previous games, so I personally felt unaccustomed to it. It becomes a frustrating game when you don't know how to use your weapons well.
Nonetheless the OST is a blast as always. I played with Proto Man, originally a DLC that here can be unlocked earlier through cheats. The fact that he takes 2x the damage in exchange for a bad and almost useless shield gimmick is a bit off-putting and not fun, but having Proto as playable is still nice to have. MM9 is a game that I can consider superior to its predecessors, showing that sometimes something simpler and more concise is more interesting, even if relying a little on nostalgia.
3/5

MM10
Here we have three playable characters, and Bass is a lot of fun compared to Proto Man and even Mega Man. I think the addition of difficulties is unnecessary, but it's there for those who want it and the game handles it well. For me, 9 is the hardest, but in quality they're both close. Soundtrack is good as usual. I think it's a better game just because of Bass, which isn't exactly an innovation but is a breath of fresh air.
3/5

Melhor que o primeiro, não só pelos jogos mas pela interface e extras também.

I wish this had Mega Man & Bass, but oh well.

This collection is proof that old games are hard and good anyway.

A solid collection of 4 Mega Man games with extras like time challenges, concept art and the usual, as well as a selection of borders for each game and a save state option that loads last checkpoint this collection defines. I'll reserve detailed reviews for each individual game on their respective pages, as for this collection, there's little wrong with it. All games are at least decently enjoyable. My fave from this collection specifically is probably 7, but that's mostly because I'm biased and I like SNES.

Not sure why there is a more limited savestate option here, it's not as fair for new players when you consider 9's hard as balls.

mega man 7 - 3/5
mega man 8 - 4.5/5
mega man 9 - 2/5
mega man 10 - 4/5

Mega Man 7 - 3.5/5
Mega Man 8 - 2/5
Mega Man 9 - 4/5
Mega Man 10 - 4/5

A lot of good games here. 9 and 10 aren't amazing, but 7 and 8 are pretty good. My only problem is that the pc version has such a limited selection of keyboard mappings. This is common with all the legacy collections Capcom puts out, and it pisses me off because control customization is the most basic thing that makes a game more appealing to players. Whatever they're all good on Switch, just don't get them on PC.
