Legitimamente, um dos piores jogos que já joguei na minha vida.

what the hell do you want me to say its mega man x7

This game feels like you're locked up in a mental asylum with 5 hyenas on fire, and you get to hear their miserable squeals of agony as you get to watch them die right in front of your eyes, as all but one thought endlessly rings through your head:

Axl você nasceu no pior jogo da franquia porém eu ainda te amo

The series jumps to the PS2, and to the 3rd dimension, as Mega Man X7 will have you switch between 2D and 3D gameplay.
And I think that's a good way to start this review, the gameplay.

It's fine. The characters definitely feel slow in 3D, but besides that, it's fine. Playing as newcomer Axl is nice, but when you do unlock X, he just trumps him in sheer power. Zero doesn't feel as smooth to play as he did previously, but he was my go-to character for bosses, as he did more damage than Axl.
Axl was generally more useful when it came to rescuing hostages.

Outside of that, the story is alright. I liked Axl as a character, but the rest felt a bit like a nothing burger, with X being really whiny in this one, and Zero just being there to collect his paycheck and being the audience surrogate.

I couldn't really give a shit about Red, and Sigma being back is the standard at this point.

Mega Man X7 goes back to having an English Dub and... huh... well, it's better than X4's, but the performances are all over the fucking place. Some characters sound good, others sound uninterested, and Sigma makes me laugh my ass off, with his Dr. Claw impression.

The graphics are fine, I do wish the characters emoted more, and some of the stages do look dull, but most of the time, it's fine.

I guess that's my overall opinion with this game, it's fine.
Like, the biggest complain I have is the UI being really slow, but besides that... it's fine.

It's not as bad as X6, I find, but it's also not nearly as good as other X games.

It's fine, that's it.

There's something very tragic about this game having a bunch of cool ideas and plotlines that I actually love, sadly all of it is locked behind atrocious gameplay and poor execution, which leads to nobody actually talking about it at all and just focusing on what it does wrong hence, all discussions regarding this game just end up being the same at the end of the day without bringing anything new to the table.

Honestly, I didn’t hate this game. Yes, the camera is terrible at times, the bosses are tedious and yes it sucks that you can't play as X right from the start and Zero is absolute trash, etc. etc.

But I can appreciate the devs wanting to try something different, especially after the trainwreck that was X6. And the final product isn't all that bad.

I liked the Chip upgrade system. I liked Axl's machine gun (turn on Auto Repeat for that). I liked that Axl would sometimes receive a new normal gun based on a boss power, the Rocket Launcher (Explosion) was especially cool and very strong too. I liked being able to switch characters on the fly. Most stages were fine. The majority of the 2D sections weren’t bad and some of the 3D sections were pretty alright too. It's just when you get to a 3D section with awful camera that you can't rotate that it became really annoying.
The bosses were the weakest part of this game for me. All of them took way too long to kill since they have a shitton of health and a few of them have very annoying mechanics to boot. Like the Hyena (although his crazy screaming also made me laugh) and Red.
And because of the bosses being as bad as they are I was really dreading the Teleporter Room. It didn’t help that the final stages preceding that were some of the worst in this game too.
As for the other stages, I thought most of them were alright. Apart from the Red/Sigma stages, only the Ride Chaser (Central Circuit) stage and the Cyber Field stage were truly bad.
I pretty much only used Axl for the whole game and very rarely X when the Charge shot would be better.

do not play mega man x7.
i like axel though

This is the worst video game I have ever played

I was considering giving this a five-star review just because I actually had a really good time suffering through the opening stage. It's funny how awful this game is. Realistically, I shouldn't give this more credit than it deserves lol.

The one credit I'll give is that I think Axl is kinda cute. He's the Raiden of Rockman X, and though he plays terribly, Zero also controls like shit in this game, and that's not a reason to hate HIM.

Out of principle, I'll play the rest of the game someday. I just don't have it in me to bother right now.

somehow better than x6 but somehow worse than every other game ever

Very boring, but an attempt was at least made and it looks pretty without taking assets from its predecessors. There is no reason to play this game.

I expected to get an at least so bad it's good experience, this was miserable, but I was able to defeat 3 mavericks before giving up, including the LEGENDARY Flame Hyenard.

No... even X8 was better than this

AHHHH. UHHH IT HURTS.
Hyenard?
IT'S YOU WHO'S CAUSING MY SUFFERING. THEN IF I TEAR YOU TO PIECES. MY PAIN WILL STOP.

WOOOH WOOH!! BURN!!! BURN!! BURN TO THE GROUND!! AH! OOH!! TRANSFORM-- BURN B-BURN T OTHE GROUND BURN!!! OH O H wOOOH! BURN TO TH--WOOH!! BUR-BURN!!! BURN TO THE--AH! WOOH WOOH!! TRANSFOMATION-- BURN!! BURN!! BURN!! BURN TO THE GROUND.

Frustrating game. The shift to 3D did not seem like it was thought out well. Hiding X behind some collectibles was also a strange choice.

Only redeeming factor is the stellar voice acting, especially from Flame Hyenard.

Probably one of the worst games I've played. The controls are awful. The 3D stuff doesn't really work. The bosses are aggravating to fight against and the boss weapons aren't fun to use. There are some interesting looking areas I guess. Who designed that level with the airships and trying to land jumps on them with the atrocious camera angels???

Capcom’s descent into being a joke.

Que tristeza o ponto que chegou essa franquia, literalmente matou a franquia esse jogo

I'll be honest, I don't think it's the worst thing ever. It's definitely bad, don't get me wrong, but it's also really good to point and laugh at. Considering how much I found myself going hysterical over the voice acting and terrible game design decisions at every turn, X7 wound up being a game that I actually enjoyed purely because it's a train wreck. That and it honestly really wasn't that miserable to play (at least by the end of it. It's pretty bad when you're starting out without upgrades or X), finishing with less than 4 hours ingame time. Sigma doesn't even have fucking animations for some of the attacks in his final phase; he just goes into a t-pose. You genuinely can't make this up.
