Its amazing how far you can get without even using your weapon correctly. I was an Insect Glaive user, made it to Hunter Rank 15 without ever properly using the insect to get the essences.

Takes the fantastic presentation of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, cranks it up three whole notches, brings back fan-favourite monsters and has oodles of quests to complete. Was a multiplayer favourite back in the day.

This was my first Monster Hunter game. It was a massive learning curve and I basically had to play with a wiki open, but I enjoyed every second of it. This is a very grindy game but it is definitely worth playing.

A fun compilations and celebration of the monster hunter series! If your playing this after playing world or ride your gonna have a rough time. A lot of what is now streamland is not here. This game and series is the epitome of difficult to master. But has a great return. The gameplay the tension. There are so many monsters to battle in this game and then you add dlc and online(not anymore but at the time) what an excellent time. This was my introduction to the series and the game that made me a monster hunter fan.
A great game that is both overwhelming and limited by not being its G-Rank version.
My entry to Monster hunter, I spent countless hours playing this game and meeting new people in public servers, honestly I thank those who I played with all those years ago.
This game is an insult to everything I love about art and this franchise .
odd relationship with this game, on one hand it's MH so therefore it is peak but on the other hand nestled in the dark, it was my first monster hunter game to not have G rank??? so I really didn't go super hard with it, still got triple digit hours out of it mind you, adept Hunting Horn made me horny
Too much content slapped into your face
By all accounts, I should love this game. Arts & Styles just didn't grab me; I played Guild Style on most of the weapons I tried, and I felt each different Style was so deep that it was intimidating to try and pick something else up.
I acknowledge that it's a "me" problem, but it's probably the main series game I have the least time in.

This was my entry to the franchise and I adored playing it with new friends to the series and veterans alike, so much content and styles are really fun and keep things fresh (even if some are a bit OP). Even without it's MR upgrade I was able to put dozens of hours into it

I wasn't going to log this since I had already logged and reviewed Generations Ultimate but for the sake of purity why not. This was the first Monster Hunter game that I really got into, I loved all the styles and the monsters were awesome, I would sit on my bed and play for like 8 hours straight and I wouldn't be able to play for the next like 3 days because my thumbs would hurt to much. This game was great, though not including G rank is a bit of a downside, I really dislike how they release basically incomplete games but that's why we have GenU. I have very fond memories of grinding out Mizutsune's armor because I thought it looked cute and I remember soloing Glavenus, I spent a lot of time in this game and I got to spend so much more in GenU so I'm glad I found this game.
