I suppose we are talking about the version included in the Metroid Prime Trilogy, right? I never heard of stand-alone ones, at least in Europe. Very weird and peculiar, I know at the times there were New Play Control versions for other games and stand-alone (Pikmin 1, Pikmin 2, DK Jungle Beat and Mario Power Tennis iirc).

Ok, Nintendo weirdness aside: I know omany people think playing FPS with Wii Mote and Nunchuck feels very immersive. Thanks to Metroid Prime on Wii I can see why, even if the proper native ones were all focused in MP3. Here it's mostly the pointing and pretty much few handy things to differentiate from the GC (and Remastered) version(s).

I'll probably say the similar things to MP2 since I played those games alright and know what I think of them. It's still an awesome way to enjoy a GameCube classic overall.

just like previous Metroids, the exploration and level design in Metroid Prime are topnotch. the soundtrack is amazing as well. in the Metroid Prime Trilogy, the aiming has been significantly improved, making in the definitive version to play

the biggest issue i have with this game is its age. theres a lot of backtracking that slows the game down. Samus isnt as agile in this game compared to previous games, so movement is much slower. but, since the game is 20 years old, you can give it a little bit of leeway. this game is fantastic

Its really good. The fetch quest at the end kind of sucked. I think the bosses near the end are bad because they just take forever to kill. I played this on Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Metroid Prime: Trilogy (Wii U)

is hard to play Metroid Prime again, im not a fan of metroidvanias and what sets this game apart is the atmosphere and the discovery of new places and lore to investigate, replaying i already knew all of that so my experience wasnt even remotely close to what it was the first time, im keeping the 4.5 rating i gave it the first time i played the game 5 years ago, but if it was for this second playthrough i would give it a 3 at best, difficulty on veteran since i used primehack, the game was equally easy but enemies were sponges

As part of Metroid Prime Trilogy

This is the game you were waiting 8 years for and it's finally here. But it's even better than you thought it was going to be. It translates the 2D world into 3D like Nintendo has always done beautifully. This game is amazing and if you are a fan of any genre you must play it.

I have never played a game quite like Metroid Prime. Definite contender for my favorite game of all time. The sense of isolation and world building is insane, and the Wii pointer controls were surprisingly good. I love how the entire game goes by and not a single line of dialogue is spoken. The scan system is easily one of the coolest parts of the game, and the perfect balance to get just as much of the story and lore as you want.

I'm reviewing the game through this because my first time beating Metroid Prime was through the Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Wii.

It goes without saying that this game is a masterstroke. Such a brilliant game that translates the Metroidvania formula perfectly into an FPS with incredible level design and gripping gunplay. It's also one of the few games I've played that really makes the most of the motion controls; hell, I'd say the Prime Trilogy is arguably the gold standard for motion-controlled gaming. I was almost worried going into the Remaster that the dual-stick controls wouldn't do the motion controls justice (though trust me, they did). That's how good the Wii version is.

Agora. Tou mandando.

Tfw the region that doesn't care about Metroid or shooting games in general got this game on Wii with new controls and not even North America

Then again we got Metroid Prime Trilogy anyway

Metroid prime with improved controls
