It's just like the first game, but now does NOT have Frank West. Gotta dock points for that HUGE MISTAKE.

Smash Bros porém INCRÍVEL

Need another one for the Switch

It's so cool and would be so so much cooler if it was significantly shorter, but that was the one issue present in the original game so I think it's just their style at this point

awesome crossover should've been a fighting game

It's really cool seeing so many characters interact. The plot seemed more interesting than 1's at first but I feel like they still could've done more with it.

The gameplay of 1 is improved upon with a skill upgrade system and it now encourages you to actually mix up your attacks more. That being said it still got quite repetitive over time which made it hard to focus on playing. After getting halfway through I found myself playing a single chapter at a time because playing more than that at a time was a little boring.

Buen crossover y bacan las animaciones pero se vuelve reeee repetitivo.

The cast of characters is stellar, but the story is pretty lame and the gameplay can drag. Still, it's decently fun and it's pretty awesome seeing Dante and Vergil team up with Axel from Streets of Rage

Pretty much improves on the original, which was already great, in every single way.

The character interactions and sheer amount of fanservice for fans of the various franchises is a lot of fun. Here's hoping for a third entry someday!

Dante and Vergil + Alisa do be incredible

This game made me realize the Super Best Friends have s*** taste in SRPGs

But what else is new

Got softlocked at one of the final chapters because it put me in a 1v1 against a boss with a character team I never used. Cool enough to see some of my favorite characters like Vergil and Dante, Kosmos and Fiora, Chrom and Lucina interact and pull of special moves dug from their game but as not a huge Namco fan a lot of the characters and references were lost on me.

My first rpg addiction, I need combat like this I crave combat like this.

An insane improvement on practically all fronts from the first X Zone.

Positives:
+ The roster of Project X Zone 2 is so much more appealing to me and my own favorite franchises personally. Phoenix Wright, Kiryu and Majima, Leon, Virgil, Chrom and Lucina all feel hand picked especially to cater towards me.
+ The first Project X Zone certainly felt biased towards the Bandai Namco characters in particular. It felt as if the Capcom characters were the most underused and forgotten, which annoyed me as they were the reason i played the first. Luckily, the spotlight feels equally shared between the three companies this time around, which Capcom actually getting what feels like the longest string of themed levels.
+ X Zone 2 actually takes the time to acknowledge how insane some of these crossovers are in the dialogue. A big issue with 1, was that while you had all of these crossovers, the story didn't feel formed around them, but rather formed in a separate state for the crossovers to be almost sidelined. There are so many situations in 2 that take advantage of these pairings that will never happen again. Want to see Phoenix Wright, Kazuma Kiryu, and Kazuya Mishima take on Ken, Ryu, Heihachi, Chris Redfield, and Jin Mishima in a 3 v 3 free-for-all brawl? well, you certainly can here.
+ Gameplay is generally improved to be more satisfying to pull off and alternate with. In the 1st, each character is given 4 directional moves which you rat off each turn which gets boring after 40 straight chapters. X Zone 2 allows you to obtain 5 directional moves for each character, but you are now only allowed 3 moves each turn, with the directions you don't use charging up to become more powerful the next round. It adds a shake-up to the tired and repetitive formula of the first in a way that becomes very strategical at the game goes on.

Negatives:
- I cannot lie and say that i enjoyed all 40 chapters of X Zone 2. While enemies certainly become less bullet-spongy, it is still absurd the number of enemies they shove at you every chapter. Upwards of 10 spawn in initially and then they trick you by spawning in 40 more. It is daunting to see all this extra work be dumped on you at a moment's notice.
- It doesn't need to be a full 42 chapters. point blank. When your chapters can run all the way up to an hour to 2 hours each, with little shake-up, it does get slightly tiring around chapter 30.

Project X Zone 2 is a sequel that improves on the original in many ways. Firstly, the chapters are shorter than in Project X Zone, which is good, because in my opinion, the chapters in Project X Zone were too long, and with that I mean the battles and amount of enemies. Project X Zone 2 feels way better in that aspect.
Like in Project X Zone, the crossover aspect of the game is still what makes it so special, the character interactions and humour are great. It's just so nice seeing your favourite characters from all these franchises interact with each other. KOS-MOS was still one of the main reasons why I played this game, and she and Fiora from Xenoblade were a nice pair unite, tho I personally prefer KOS-MOS and T-elos from Project X Zone. (KOS-MOS and Shion still would've been better than those two, but I can live with that)
Xiaomu and Reiji were great protagonists, at this point I haven't played Namco X Capcom, from which they are the original protagonists, but I already enjoyed them in Project X Zone. With this game I really learned to love them, especially the ending of the game was really nice, and honestly made me a bit emotional, which I didn't expect at all.
With that, I think this is a great crossover game, just like Project X Zone, but I think this game is definitely an improvement over Project X Zone. After playing this game, my wish for another crossover game made by Monolithsoft, just became even stronger. Hope we'll someday see Project X Zone 3.

Heartbreaking: The bland looking characters from a series you know nothing about are actually the best characters in the crossover game

Still shocked at how much of an improvement PXZ2 is over the original. The game doesn't drag its feet anywhere near as bad as the original does, and even its later chapters are only about as long as some of the early chapters of the original. Its character roster, while missing a few of my favourites, is still bursting with great picks, from Vergil, Kiryu and Majima, to Segata fucking Sanshiro, and the gameplay's still plenty enjoyable, doubly so now that the game's generally snappier pace and a few more mechanics come into play. You don't even need to play PXZ1 in order to get the simple story, so give it a shot!

haha chrom and megaman are talking with ulala and kiryu and majima
i didnt pay attention to the story

Man, what an improvement this game is. Every single flaw the first game had is fixed here while improving on the skeleton of the first game. Characters now have their own individual skill bar instead of tying everything to a universal XP bar, allowing maps to be cleared far faster. The maps themselves completely remove the enemy bloat of the first game. Only the last two maps in the game dip the enemy count into the 40s but by then, you've got enough equipment and upgraded each character enough time, along with multiple skill applications, that high enemy counts become a non-issue. And most characters unlock their AoE multi-attacks long before you reach the late game, allowing you to weaken or clear large groups of enemies, significantly reducing the amount of time it takes to clear a map. The improvements to the gameplay here are so great that i was able to clear multiple maps in one sitting, something that became impossible starting in the mid-game of the first game.

The presentation of the game has also seen a major buff. The sprites are the usual top-tier quality of course but the animated cut-ins for specials and assists just so neat to look at now. The UI is improved, giving you a much clearer picture of what's going on. Really, this whole game's an improvement.

The story is just dumb fun like last time and that's fine, i didn't come into this game expecting Shakesphere. Though my experience with most of these characters is still limited to just these crossovers, i was still able to enjoy them and their interactions although no doubt i would enjoy it a lot more if i had played those games. Speaking of characters, there seems to be a trend for Monolith Soft characters to improve when in a crossover. T-elos saw a massive improvement in her crossover appearances compared to her original appearance in Xenosaga Episode III. And now, Fiora has gotten a huge boost to her character and the main reason is because Shulk is not in this game, and so it gives her more freedom for her character. Seriously, i feel like there's a big gap between how Fiora is written in this game vs how she's written in Xenoblade Chronicles.

The music for the most part is just cheating because it's just remixes from existing songs. Not all of them are as good as their original versions but oh well, what are you to do.

Admittedly, this game does occasionally get repetitive at times and it's pretty long so that might definitely be an issue for some. But as long as it's not the only game your playing, the repetitiveness shouldn't sting too much. Besides, the very cool spritework and attack animations this game has can distract you from the occasional repetitiveness.

This game has given me even more appreciation for Monolith Soft, because if there's one thing they are consistently good at, it's improving tremendously with sequels. Even on the very rare times they make a bad game, the chances are high that should a sequel ever come, it'll be a tremendous improvement and it just shows how good Monolith Soft is at improving.

Really fun crossover fanservicey game you are only going to like this if you know the characters and see them interact

Its a vast improvement over the original, a bit too easy tho

Un fanfic de todos los juegos weeabos hecho un SRPG jugable muy básico.

Interesante por ver interacciones entre personajes y poco más.
