After ending with Stillwater's corruption, the Saints leader, Shaundi and Pierce will end up in Steelport city - they have a new city to conquer with their new friends that they will meet along the way.
In comparison to Saints Row 2, this game changed a lot when it comes to graphics and gameplay, it is well-optimized and the soundtrack is pretty good on some radio stations.

Lackluster but still an overall fun game!
Super fun I've beaten this game like 5 times it like my Gta even though I've played both
I think it was a good choice to turn up the silliness to differentiate from GTA.

This game wouldn't work for me at all when I got it initially so I had it as a 1 for a while LMAO, but after getting a new disc and playing it through the reduced level of content compared to SR2 makes this game such a disappointment, also killing Johnny Gat at the start makes this game irredeemable. Fuck u Volition

it was super fun, I love the combat in it. the game itself is awesome, I love the music choices they chose. the character customization is neat. I liked all the different clothes options. it was on sale too so I said I'd try it, glad I did.

had grade 6 me in a headlock but golly is this game mostly padding
Between SR2 and SR4 the best part of this game is the soundtrack.

i have so many amazing memories of sitting in my basement playing this game with my friend on one of the most broken TVs in existence, and while those MEMORIES are some of my favorite times during childhood, playing this game today is like asking for your face to be dragged over cement. for how "wacky" and "over-the-top" this game tries to be, it somehow has less charm and less witty commentary than Saints Row 2. also the open world is SO small it's almost laughable, if you unlock the fastet plane in the game (which isnt super fast) you can pretty much circle the whole map in under a minute.
the funniest and yet most badass game I've ever played
I really enjoyed my first half of my play through where I was going around buying all the properties and doing the side missions and then when I had to do the campaign all of that good will kinda disappeared.
