I can never complain about more of a good thing and Beyond Time and Space scratches the exact itch I was looking for after Save the World's high bar that it set. Add a little bit of a visual upgrade and more experimentation with its stories, and you've got 5 more episodes that are a slight step above its predecessor.
No WAR song in this one though, but I can let it slide. It's still just as charming as the first one, if not more.

This one is my personal favorite out of the whole sam and max series. Each of the 5 episodes is memorable and funny with the vast variety of wacky bizarre situations that the freelance police get caught up in. Each of the twists in the overarching story caught me completely off guard and were very entertaining. Truly the pinnacle of the sam & max series.
I still quite like Season 2, but I feel like it's probably the weakest of the Telltale Sam & Max seasons. Nothing's really particularly bad about it, but I feel like it's the one I left having the most mixed feelings on. It sort of just feels inconsistent in quality to me, I guess. Especially when compared to how good The Devil's Playhouse is right after this. There's still a lot of fun to be had here though.
