Played (with a friend) as part of Atari 50.
It's Asteroids again. Like actually the same exact thing but less cool looking. Docking half a star for being incredibly lazy. Playing the 2p modes with a friend is kind of interesting, but really nothing to last more than a few minutes.

It's Asteroids for two players... and should only be played with two players.
So I've heard that this was intended as the sequel to Asteroids but they backed off that and released it as its own thing. You can certainly see the Asteroids influence but instead of asteroids your aiming at geometric shapes. There is a shield button with limited amount of juice in it instead of a panic warp button and this can be used to bounce off objects or the other player.
Speaking of, there are several game modes including two 2-player modes. The first is what you'd expect with you both blasting the space debris to bits. The other is more interesting. It has you both joined by a tether. If a player takes a hit they are wounded and their shooting ability is severely limited. A second hit to either ship destroys them both so its manages to be a much more cooperative experience. The shields and thrusters are still there but you better be on the same page or risk spinning your ships off into an obstacle. The 4th mode is similar to the 2 player coop experience but controlled by 1 player which basically is easy mode; giving you an extra hit per life and 2 guns. I had access to this at our church youth room and have a lot of great memories spent with it. I recommend checking it out if you happen to get lucky and find it.

ASTEROIDS, but hideous and dumb. Seems to have fundamentally misunderstood its progenitor.
