All I remember about this game is the rather inspired Wolverine boss fight where he pins you down several times to quiz you on actual Spider-Man trivia to see if you're the real Peter Parker. That's pretty good.
Actually I do remember one other thing: that one cutscene of Spider-Man walking sadly across a skyscraper rooftop in slow motion as tons of soldiers are fighting Symbiote creatures and dying. It gets paired up with the song from that similar moment in the anime Tokyo Ghoul a lot.

Underrated low budget (im guessing) but fun as hell spidey game. Story was whatever and it looked pretty crap at least by todays standards but the web slinging was pretty good and the combat was fun too, especially with the ability to change between friendly neighbourhood suit to symbiote suit on the fly.

This game needs to be talked about more.
I don't care what anyone says, this game rules. It took risks, some payed off some didn't. But nevertheless, I keep coming back for more to this game rather then the newer titles.
I know we're currently in the Insomniac era and that's all people want when it comes to Spider-Man games. But someone should remake this one with slighlty high quality graphics and improved controls.

X360 hidden gem, compared to the success of Marvel’s Spider-Man. Good, almost bleak story, symbiotic outbreak felt more intense in this one. Good gameplay, fighting on walls was a good inclusion and some good aerial combos.

Was excited to play this one because through all the streams I did of older Spider-Man games (since I'm trying to play all of his games) people kept mentioning this one as one of the absolute best ones.
Well it fits right in with most of the games: they're either awful or 'good,' with hardly any in-between and only the first PSX game being actually amazing.
Combat is good for the most part. You can switch between Red and Black suits for Spider-Man, they play different enough and each have a skill tree with some unique abilities. One of the best things about this game is the sheer variety in the enemies you fight and see.
The first 2/3 of the game are regular enemies, whole lot of different kind of them, then the Symbiots take over New York and you fight all kinds of Symbiote variations, from random Electro Symbiote enemies to Venom knockoffs and several others. Kept the gameplay interesting. The boss fights themselves were nothing special but the fact that you get to fight Symbiote Wolverine, Symbiote Electro, Symbiote Vulture was really fucking badass. By far the biggest highlight of the game for me. Wish Moon Knight and Luke Cage got black suits too, especially since concept art of Moon Knight Symbiote is in the credits. I also really enjoyed having a sort of 'morality' system where at several points of the game you choose to go with the Red suit choice or the Black suit choice. I went all Red with the intention of doing a 2nd playthrough and going all Black but the game didn't feel worthy of a 2nd playthrough by the time I was at the end of the game.
Here come the negatives. This is a ps3-ass ps3 game. Runs like shit, sub 20fps most of the time. Constant screen-tearing. Tons of stupid QTE, the fucking game ends on a QTE. and not on the boss fight, which btw was a really lame boss fight to end such a grand (in scale) game. The 2000+ collectibles are weird, like they couldn't think of anything else besides flooding the world with over two thousand little things to level up. They were pretty useless since I always felt like my health meter barely went up, and the game is really easy regardless. I'm not too bothered with this collectible, at least compared with the performance, but it was still an odd choice.
I had a fun time, stayed up late last night having a good time with it, but I felt like the last 10% of the game really soured me to drop it from an 8 to a 7/10.

based spiderman game. the combat rocks and makes spiderman feel really brutal.... very cool
played this like 4 times every time it was more fun than the last
probable my second favorite spider-man game just for the awesome combat and the insane story.

combat is pretty good, web swining is good, both with jank. story is ass, but i like the decision concept. symbiote bosses are cool desgins but most bosses suck. some missions requiere searching the city and kill x amount of enemies which is really lazy and boring. but hey, more combat i guess. also locking level progression behind colIectibles is stupid would recommend it but it takes a while before the combat gets good.

Yo this game is baller af dude. The motion controls work great, the combat is snappy and flashy, but it also has an amazing sense of movement and flow. You can fight as you're web swinging, AND on walls.
It has a fun story that plays with the choice of being good or evil: it dosent actually matter, but the different cutscenes are welcome.
Mechanic wise it does a lot of the heavy lifting. It is a blast to play. A great Spidey game.

Un juego divertido pero que tiene muchos fallos. Fuera de la historia principal no hay mucho que hacer y el juego suele presentar varios bugs, eso almenos en la version de PC. Realmente este es uno de esos juegos que se hubiera beneficiado de tener un new game plus.

I was playing this with dolphin emulator on android but it lagged as hell and controlling is pretty hard. even though shattered dimensions worked fine on it. might pick it up sometime later when I will have better pc.
