This was a dumb choice as is (no Rex?) but the fact that they're braindead to use makes it even worse. All I see in tournaments are these stupid, lowest-common-denominator character that wasn't even a fun choice in the first place and now I have to see them EVERYWHERE. I hate this.

I personally really like this character both as someone who really enjoyed Xenoblade 2 and because I like the expansive toolkit you have when you account for all the moves you get when switching between the two characters.

That said, the stage really lowers my opinion on this pack overall. I guess it does represent the game pretty well but I couldn't help but feel as if there were so many breathtaking locations in Xenoblade 2 that they could have used instead. I would have found a stage based off Uraya or even More Ardain to be far more visually interesting than a vast sea of clouds despite the latter being fitting of the game's overall setting. Even that aside, the stage feels really small and doesn't give you a lot of horizontal space to maneuver.

doomguy vault boy and dragonborn were mii'd for this

Inclusion: Funnily enough Pyra and Mythra come from the only game represented in a Smash fighter that I haven't played to some degree, though I do plan to do so once I go through the rest of the Xeno series. I don't feel super strongly about them as characters, but seeing people cry about "another weeb character" was gigglesome.

Fighter: Fighting them is really annoying, especially with them being a top tier. And that's a shame, since I actually dig the gimmick they have going. Instantly switching between someone slower who focuses on damage to a faster fighter who isn't much of a heavy hitter. They're similar in a lot of ways, but their differences are distinct enough to make playing as them a unique experience.

Stage: The stage kinda stinks tbh. The layout is pretty rough and it feels super cramped. It's probably the best representation of it, but I know Xenoblade 2 has some amazing looking locations that would've been better suited to it. Though admittedly avoiding another Gaur Plain situation might've been for the best.

Music: Mostly pretty solid. I haven't listened to too much of the soundtrack but I generally like what I've heard. Not the biggest fan out the Counterattack remix, that's one I have listened to quite a bit and I think the Smash version doesn't quite live up to it.

The funniest thing about their reveal is that everyone in my call watching it was celebrating because it wasn't Rex.

Don't really care for 2 sword fighters in a row but hey my sibling likes to play as them and that's all that matters :)

I have to say that this challenger pack is really good but a little lacking in terms of the spirit board and stage.

fun fact, there were 274823 hours between xbc2's release and this dlc's release :)

i just remembered i have like 2 and a half months to beat xenoblade 2 and now im sad because i really do not want to

Nia is better but they are top 3 and good

They come from one of my favourite games ever and they're so fun to play as. What else do I need?

Excellent pick, wanted them before the base game came out

im biased but i think this char's cool, they have really good alts, a really nice stage, a good music selection and pneuma art, my problem with them is they are a bit way too overtuned atm

3 years of waiting and it was so, so worth it. The only possible thing I could’ve hoped for is if they got Rex to work as well alongside them but what we have is more than enough to make me happy.

Rex should've made it too but PYRA & MYTHRA I LOVE THEM
