It's a fun idea, but I honestly could not tell you what worth he has as a dlc character besides being a meme.
This is the greatest fighting game character of all time. You are stupid if you don't think so. This is peak fiction.
A neat idea for a character but his design was not fully fleshed out. He is sadly mediocre and does not offer much in terms of anything that makes a character good. But he is pretty fun though.

i really wanted geno in smash when i was younger and this reveal made me think we were getting geno and then i got really sad when it was piranha plant. really fun though and him having skins that reference paper mario is awesome

Piranha Plant ended up a shitty, clunky low tier no one plays and most later DLC outshine him but man, he's REALLY funny. I support adding dumbass shit like this to Smash Bros.

I mean, for a meme pick this guy's pretty funny. I just think there are better enemy picks from the Mario series, like Lakitu. Also, why not Petey Pirahna? He is an actual character and not some random enemy from the Mario series.
