Pretty decent puzzle platformer, showcases how simplicity can be a strong point. It tries to tell a story with some narration as well, didn't work that well for me. The soundtrack is great though.

Interesting concept and puzzle solving. Fun to play through, but not really a fully engaging experience for me.

It tries so hard to be poetic and clever but I just found it exhausting and unfunny. It's also boring as hell and intentionally visually uninteresting. At least it's functional I guess

Enjoyment - 6/10
Difficulty - 1/10

Thomas Was Alone made me emotionally connect with little rectangles and squares. Simple platforming, making shape friends and going along for the ride makes Thomas Was Alone a nice snack for all.

It's a cute adventure, with a funny narrator, but it is too easy to complete.

Short and sweet puzzle platformer. Nails the pacing of introducing concepts and then ramping up difficulty.

Come for fun puzzle platforming, stay for silly narration by funny British man.

Having finished playing Cuphead a bit ago, amused by the characterization during boss fights using some appealing handrawn visuals... I remembered this one game a friend from Spain had recommended me, where it attempted the opposite, characterization through narration and very minimalistic visuals.

And despite being just a bunch of geometrical shapes, they really are a set of charismatic characters even if we don't get the chance to get really deep into their self steem issues, it being about a lot of characters meeting and warming up to each other and confronting their insecurities in a symbolic way what becomes so enchanting and creative in its own right

Played it in 2013 so don't remember much except that it's good enough.

It's okay little guy, I was alone too

Easily the best video game about squares I've played.

Sympathy towards squares and rectangles. Simple yet affecting stuff.

I never thought that this little cube game had a big story, I was just a kid who loved playing puzzle games.

If you’ve somehow avoided Thomas Was Alone for all these years, I recommend you try it out. I don’t really see what others do, but I certainly enjoyed my time with it. Everyone who has worked on Thomas Was Alone went on to do bigger and better projects. I personally can’t recommend enough checking into their resumes. I won’t suggest you run after Thomas Was Alone right this second, but if you’re at all interested, give it a good shot.

A very early introduction to the indie genre for me (alongside Bastion) - it contributed to my love of narrative and light puzzling in a game, but looking back it was just alright and I have no desire to ever revisit it.

A really cute puzzle game that's not ever too difficult, but utilizes some pretty cool mechanics and teaches them well. Doesn't overstay its welcome either. I'm sure the narrative has some deeper coding/AI meaning, but it kinda went over my head. The coolest part about this game is the soundtrack. I'm a sucker for interesting audio and as the levels changed, the soundtrack had slight components altered to match the theming. Really cool.

En su dĂa tuvo que ser genial, pero a dĂa de hoy me parece pesado.

Thomas literally predicted how my life would be at college: alone

They make you get emotionally attached to rectangles and it's not fair.

At first it was interesting and uniquely fun, but it got stale pretty quickly.

A fun little puzzle platformer with an interesting premise. The story is very underplayed though; the game builds up these interesting characters and then discards them before they can do anything interesting with each other.

I think its funny to play this game directly after the AI takeover of the past year, and also after a very intense and heated discourse of if Portal 2 was or invented 2012 humor. (this game is heavy evidence for the latter)
