Toy Story Racer brings the fun of the beloved Pixar franchise to the Game Boy Color. While graphics are naturally limited by the hardware, the game captures the spirit of the films with creative tracks based on Andy's room and beyond. The racing action is simple but enjoyable, and unlocking additional characters adds replay value. It's a solid pick-up for fans of Toy Story and retro kart racers looking for a quick blast of nostalgia.

My favorite kart racer (which may not be saying much as I’m not too big on racing games) featuring one of my favorite movies! The levels are interesting and the way they did stairs specifically is certainly unique, but makes sense since how else are they suppose to get up there

Single player mode will drive you insane!

Maybe one of the first games I played, on the PS1. Nostalgic when looking back at YouTube videos of it. RC was my favorite.

I cracked the disc in my PSX and remember the heartbreak. Was probably a terrible game, but absence makes the heart grow fonder...

this shit gave me a headache it hurt

A very stock-standard boiler plate kart racer. There's an okay amount of challenge variety and content to actually complete, but the core gameplay is a little too simple for its own good. There's a pretty decent roster of characters, but the difference between each of them being entirely cosmetic feels like a massive missed opportunity.

This ain't rubber banding, this shit a nuclear fission accident.

Childhood SLAPPER banger. Played this game vs my Mom and Grandma as a 4 year old and absolutely destroyed them, get owned noobs 6/10

Although I don't really like the track design, this licensed Re-Volt copy is surprisingly playable. Traveller's Tales quality seal I guess.

Cute little racer. Not mindblowing, but it's alright

A bit on the bland side, Toy Story Racer plays it safe by offering different challenges with different characters all over again, time and time again.

Some levels are infamous (Buzz' Search & Destroy) but the game itself isn't hard as it is frustrating and RNG centric. Despite loving the backdrops, the soundtrack and the driving is quite fun, I don't think nostalgia can cloud how repetitive it is. It's a fine game, for a tie-in as well, but there's better alternatives for racing titles on the PS1. At least you can play as Slinky, love the dog like my own family.

5 estrelas só pelo modo batalha.

Definitely not the worst GBC game I've played, but the Playstation version of this game is MILES better.

It was a boring but not absolutely terrible racer that often controlled awkwardly. It could've been worse, though.

This is a really fun cart racer, that should have more people play it despite its age. The idea is that you race around the locations from the first 2 Toy Story films on small vehicles, as characters from those 2 films too, in races, and that's all the concept needed, but it's up to how well it's done that will determine its quality. Graphics are colorful and fun to look at, but are good, they almost feel blurry from the PS1 effects. The gameplay though is great and holds up, the vehicles turn tightly which is really fun and feels like it would work better than if it was any slower, and the environment is accommodating to these controls, there are shortcuts that if you do them right, you can advance further, which is great cause that questions whether you should do it, or play it safe, as opposed to games where if you know the short cut, you just take it, and stuff like having clean tile floors work as ice, Etche show the way to go with arrows, or the things used as powerups and weapons against other players show creativity in making this setting feel it should be like any other tracks.
The other challenges other than races to do are all fun and great as the racing itself, you can unlock other characters to if you win enough challenges. The Music is also great, and worth listening too. Toy Story racer is an underrated cart racer that isn't the best, but I can recommend any racing gamer plays.

you are a sad strange little game

I really loved this game and it has a lot of potential
