A genuine improvement to the 1st game in just about every way and one of the standout budget, double-A action games of that era: it stands tall next to kin like Space Marine and Republic Commando.
Campaign was full throttle, varied in each of the 14 chapters; the shooting was more solid and responsive than ever; the weapon variety was exciting; and the soundtrack was basically Doom Lite before Doom 2016.
Now that we're getting Space Marine 2, this has gone straight to the top of the list of Games I Hope Get a Sequel One Day. Goddamn do I hate IP licensing for taking this series away from us and burying it under the shitshows that are Hasbro and Activision.

Fall of Cybertron is pretty much an upgrade to War for Cybertron in almost every area. The combat is a lot smoother, the areas are a lot brighter along with better level design, and the different Transformers you play as all feel different with different styles of combat and maneuverability; this greatly reduces the feeling of fatigue War had which I kinda find funny since this game is much longer and never reached the point of fatigue War gave me. The story was the first story in any Transformers media I actually took seriously and was pretty engaged by it, and this is also the first Transformers game where they’ve done the dual campaigns idea and worked it into one campaign near perfectly. I don’t really have much to say about it other than it’s just a really really solid Transformers game. I’m sure if you like the IP you’ll get more out of it then I ever could so yeah. It’s weird I don’t have much else to say this time around.
Oh my days. They outdid themselves, everything is better than the first game. What an amazing story and game.
The set pieces.
This is the Uncharted 2 of transformers.
The grimlock missions were so dope, the final mission and boss, combat, playing as different autobots and Decepticons. The weapons, upgrade system.
Masterpiece. Really wish we got one on earth but this is one of the best duologys of all time.
Only single complaint is only one Bumblebee mission and he loses his voice off screen :(
10/10 must play

While FoC is still an average TPS like the first game, they did add a lot more gameplay verity which made it more enjoyable to play. This time you can upgrade your weapons, buy perks, and have a little more control over what weapons you want to use. They took out grenades though, which I really dislike, but made better special ability verity. I enjoyed playing as the larger Transformers too, which have slightly different gameplay mechanics. The story and music are fantastic as well.
We peaked as a society when this game hit up the local gamestop. Where do I even begin. The campaign was amazing with all of its shots and scenery as well as its story being very interesting with a great conclusion. The gunplay is way better than the first game and the game’s art direction was also an upgrade. This was my game ever growing up and I still feel like that to this very fucking day.
I almost regret playing this one again, because compared to the 1st game it's already a let down. The campaign is absurdly short, multiple chapters take no more than 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the number of characters playable in the campaign are almost non-existent. You don't get to pick anymore, you're stuck with about seven different transformers.
It feels really rushed and just isn't as fun a third-person shooter as the first one.

No joke when I bought this from Toys R Us they sold me a copy with some random jazz CD inside. The case was sealed when I bought it so this had to be someone playing a little prank from the warehouse or wherever that copy came from
TRU were the best because they let me come back and get an actual copy of the game but still, how many others out there opened their copy to some random CD?
