It doesn't go anywhere near as far as What The Golf did, but it certainly isn't a bad game. It's well made, it's just not that exciting after What The Golf.

I expected a bit more from them, since I love what the golf, but a lot of their goofs were seen there or get stale here. Some of the twists are fun, but a lot of them are repetitive and unfortunately feel too much like fairly low rent wii games. Still, does have some fun and novel moments and delivers it in an aesthetically pleasing and concise package

Fun and wacky in the same way What the Golf? was.

Repetitive and over-reliant on certain gimmicks (joystick puzzles) in the same way What the Golf? was.

It balances out in the end.

Very charming game and quite fun too.
The levels are creative, funny, and simple enough that you should never get stuck on them.
I do lament the fact that some very interesting and fun mechanics end after like 2 minigames, whereas other not as engaging mechanics go on for loooong.
Still, the game was fun and it doesn't overstay its welcome, there is oooone thing tho: FUCK THAT FINAL SEGMENT WITH THE TOAST, IT'S LITERALLY THE HARDEST TOAST TO INSERT

The closest thing to WarioWare on VR. Like What the Golf but you have baseball bats for hands. Levels are super fast paced. You solve a quick puzzle attached to a gimmick/joke and move right along. Very fun, pretty funny, surprisingly decent amount of content (I’d guess like 4-5 hours). Starts to wear a tiny bit thin toward the end but by that point it’s already over.

Wrapped up 100% of What the Bat?. Played on PSVR2, around 3 hours. I’ve been trying to get back into PSVR2 lately, and finally broke through when I got prescription lens inserts and a usb-c cable extension that allows me to play in an open area in my room now. It feels much easier to pickup and play now and I’ve been dabbling in several games.

What the Bat? continues the spirit of the previous What the ___? games (Golf, Car). It’s meant to be silly and fun and light hearted and I think it succeeded. The premise is absurd, but clicks well and the levity of seeing this bat-armed person grow up from a toddler to an adult and going through phases is hilarious.

Only real complaint is the levels felt a little samey after a while. There’d be a very simple first level to introduce a new concept. Then a more complex one. Then as complex as they can. Then a silly version. Then move on. It felt like they were running out of ideas at times, and somewhat reusing ideas or mechanics in mildly different settings.

Still, it’s fun and charming and worth trying. Supposedly they were going to add more levels, but it’s been out for a year and I don’t think they’ve added anything. Maybe eventually.

Felt it could have been more creative throughout, but it has its small highlights. Cute thing to squeeze in between other games.

One of the better VR2 launch titles that I've played so far.

Played on my friends PSVR2 for a test. Only played a few levels but it's a cute game that seems perfect to play if you want to teach your friends VR basics.
