only giving it this rating because persona 3

Better than Dancing in Starlight, but worse than Dancing All Night.

It has most of the problems Starlight does, particularly with there not being a narrative. However, Moonlight makes use of what is has much better than Starlight. The characters stand out much more, plus it's just fun to see the Persona 3 cast (except Shinji :( ) all having fun together. It's just nice to see them smile.

Still, aside from Persona 3 love, there isn't really a reason to pick this over Dancing All Night.

lotus juice remixing any song just makes it better by default
piss easy as far as rhythm games go but still fun

Story is locked behind a lame social link-like system, which is my only complaint. Great music and provides a fun experience.

Also the remix of Time is the best song.

Of the three persona rhythm games, I like this one's characters and songs the least. But ultimately it's pretty much the same thing as P5D, more dancing and corny dialogue.

Elizabeth is in this game so its already great

Persona 3 Dancing continues the series spin-off dancing trend that gives fans a much-needed reunion with the P3 cast. The songs are great, the costumes and dances are silly, and while it doesn't exactly have a story the character interactions you unlock through gameplay all hold a lot of fun and memorable moments that really make you miss Persona 3. It's a game full of fan service, and as a Persona fan I don't have much to complain about.

very ehhhh tracklist with some good and a little more bad

Decent enough game that felt like a cash grab, a lot of the remixes were poor too.

Way too many frustrations to be a top-tier rhythm game.

- The scoring and ranking systems are busted. In no way an accurate read on how good you are and extremely easy to game (to the point where it's encouraged with the support options)
- The support/challenge options just confuse things. Locking content behind using them is dumb. Just let me be good at the actual game
- The UI during songs is so distracting it has to be on purpose. Either it's idiotic design or a cheap way to boost difficulty
- Scratching is terrible and its visual trigger does not mesh with the rest of the notes and makes your brain wig out. The game seemingly knows this as it gives you the option to auto-scratch but then that just feels weird in complicated charts
- Charts are pretty good overall but the note speed for each song is WILDLY different and the result is having to fiddle with the (two different) speed settings EVERY song to get a consistent experience. Absolutely baffling
- The note lanes terminate too far towards the outer edge of the screen, making playing on a big TV harder than it should be. I realize this was made for Vita but they should have tweaked it
- Can't really watch the dancing on anything besides easy mode because your eyes are on the notes (I know this could be said about any rhythm game but they make the background stuff most of the draw here, so)
- Many of the remixes are really dated stylistically
- Where's the dog

All that aside, the music from PERSONA 3 is obviously really good and if you're into these characters, the fan-service and seeing them rendered in this fidelity is worthwhile. It could be worse. It looks great at least.

Better than P4D, all the remixes are generally good. Not as challening if you have played a proper rhythm vidya before. Play this if you like P3, not much value otherwise.

Not enough deep cuts as far as song selection goes I think. Otherwise P3 has a very strong sonic identity and this captures it pretty well I'd say. I spent a lot of time on P4D when I was 14, don't anticipate the same here but I'll probably play a track or two when I'm bored once in a while.

i fucking hate remixes also suck at rhytm games

This game made my cry with nostalgia at like the second song, it felt so wholesome to give this characters a breather, because of the og game "remember you will die" oppressing theme. Its the wholesome media reunion I didn't knew I wanted. Though this is also a problem in the original game, some of the female outfits are really bad, to the point where even the character tells you that the outfit is bad, it feels creepy. The soundtrack is amazing, but the gameplay is really unforgiving, I have never played a rhythm game were you can complete the song, but also fail it lmao, you can maybe have like 7 mistakes in some 800 hundred notes soundtracks to have the minimum rate to pass, its insane lmao, I was able to technically 100% since I thought female MC would be unlockable if I unlocked everything but nope, it was a fan mod what I saw on the internet lol.

História inexistente, jogo separado de propósito (Fatlus), e alguns remixes criminosos. Mas, no fim é divertido.

It's good but the social link stuff is dumb and would have rather preferred a dumb story mode like P4D

I want to give this wonderful game 5 stars, but Ken's Mass Destruction remix puts me in so much physical pain that I wanna revoke a star over it. /hj

Persona fan service and good music? Yah 😌

This shits actually really fun and all the remixes are bangers

Not a bad game but not as enjoyable as p4 dancing but better than p5 dancing

P3D is a great step up from P4D, in that it features a stellar remix soundtrack to fit the rhythm game, and it DOESN'T feature a weak story mode that wastes your time. In its place, you get nostalgic little visits to each characters room where you can talk to them and examine things.

This game is not worth is, just play portable.

it's a cute little fanservice game which is canon for some reason but you won't get much out of this unless you really like rhythm games or you unironically, genuinely enjoy the boring cast members of persona 3. (in which case, you have my most sincere condolences for the latter part) i wouldn't recommend this or Persona 5: Dancing Star Night.

Aigis grooving brings me serotonin

The cast of Persona 3 look gorgeous in this game, the songs are great, there’s no bad story, it's just positives for this game.

P3D has a huge range of tracks to remix from all of Persona 3's sources, from games to movies, and the cast are throughly explored here. The dress-up options and shop system are also greatly improved from P4D. Room exploration is also quite fun. Not to mention I love Persona 3 to bits so this game was an absolute delight for me.

But a star is taken off because if you look at the picture frame in Ken's room you see what's supposed to be Ken's Mom but Atlus you assholes you just recolored Chihiro did you think I wouldn't notice that shit because I fucking did and fuck off with that.

bad rhythm game with the worst possible remixes of persona 3's godlike ost. disappointing.
