I enjoy the banter and the characterization but it's a painfully unremarkable gacha game that doesn't deviate from the standard formula. It's fun every now and then but with the generic art and the bland gameplay, there's not much incentive to play this.
Edit: the rhythm game had more original danmaku elements than its rpg equivalent. lol. lmao.

Oh boy... This game...
Tbh, I want to like this game! I tried to like it! But, there are so many bad qualities coming from this game!
- The battles became too boring and repetitive.
- Certain costumes just don't fit right for certain characters and they're just used for "fan-service". (Like Yuugi and Seija wearing maid outfits.)
- Certain characters got flanderized. (Like Yuyuko becoming a greedy, hungry jerk.)
- Certain characters have child variants. (Yuyuko, Yukari, Junko, Remilia and Satori.)
- Greenwich Debris plays like 80% of the whole game.
- Some designs for the parallel variants are lazy. (Like God-Summoning Shaman Reimu, Witch of Scarlet Dreams Marisa, and Mysterious Sword Master Youmu are just the alternative color palletes of Reimu, Marisa, and Youmu from the official Touhou fighting games.)
- It took a few years for this game to have a friend system. Before that, the profile and comment system was pointless.
- Chapter 1 is the only chapter in the Main Story that I find good. Sadly, the rest isn't.
- Chapter 4: Act 3 is just a filler Chapter. Just 3 Battles and 6 Cutscenes. That's it. (Not counting the extra part)
- Some battles require strong parallel variants. Because the suggested level for those battles are 101 or higher. Even though the maximum level for each unit is 100.
- Fully Limit Breaking Story cards back then is so slow! Instead of using all 4 duplicates at once, you have to choose 1 duplicate, limit break it, and then repeat this 3 more times.
Touhou LostWord is bad! Really disappointing!

I like this game guys I swear it’s not just because I want to seggs Reimu’s armpits.
This game is trash, and I understand the 2 star rating, but I can’t help but like this. Maybe I’m a masochist? who knows, after all, I’d do anything to be with Reimu. I’m currently grinding for swimsuit Reimu so I can make a full team of Reimu, Bluemu, TH6 Reimu, TH7A&B Reimus and Swimsuit Reimu.

Another miserable gacha game that takes a product and does everything imaginable to turn it into a soulless manufactured product to drain the money out of the fans of the original product. It wastes the incredible concept of an infinite multiverse within the Touhou series to feed you school AUs, making characters children and nothing of genuine interest. Pretty art and excellent music due to the presence of fan doujin circles aside, I hate this game.
This game gets a two and a half star from me because of the amazing art, visual and music that is presented in this game. Not to mention some pretty well know Seiyuus (Japanese Voice Actors) are in this.
The gameplay and gacha on the other hand? Yeah......
Not to mention the constant notifications that I keep getting every day, I thought Duolingo notifications were bad but LW takes the cake lmao
Basically; Everything besides the gameplay, notifications and gacha are good

As a long-time Touhou Enjoyer who loved the characters and stories for YEARS I finally understood what it felt like to be pandered to by a gacha game. It was absolutely incredible.
It took months for me to understand that this game is not the love of my life (sitting in the room adjacent, reading a book, unaware of her doppelganger), but a ghoul wearing a fucked up skin suit likeness, eager to grab me and wring me of my lifeblood like I'm a half-spent toothpaste tube.
Don't play this. It's an anglerfish wearing the faces of the entire EoSD cast.

As a gacha game its good, great even! The pulls are very generous and plenty of events make getting your favorite easy, without breaking bank. Alternate outfits are also pretty good overall. A majority are tasteful, fun, and shy away from being bland pandering sex appeal (most of the time. I'm looking at you, Patchouli Knowledge's vacuum sealed ass)
As a Touhou game? This is awful dude. Almost every character is boiled down to their most basic, soulless fanon interpretations, the art is boring, and many characters are just not treated well. I'm not expecting a hyper-complex bullet hell in the gameplay department, but man is it brainless.
Overall I can't say I have a burning rage for this game as many others do, but I'm never impressed with it. They're cowards for not making Rinnosuke playable, btw.

After playing it for around 3 months, I thought it was time to stop playing.
First of foremost, this is truly a wholesome game, I had a lot of fun discovering every pieces of fan-content brought into it, from the covers to the artworks, to discussing the game with its community, it made me glad to be a Touhou fan.
Now, while I like this game originally, I just can't recommend it in the end. This game reminds me of granblue fantasy, in the sense that you'll spend more time doing factory works, farming the same stages over and over, more than ten thousands times easily, doing the same things and feeling like you don't progress at all.
The problem is definitely the progression itself and how unnecessary grindy the game can feel, because the core gameplay is actually solid, it's a turn based rpg where you'll have to think and read how your characters and the ennemy characters works.
It's truly a shame, I wish I could have fun in this game but farming for days and months in order to reach a goal which doesn't seem to get closer as you play more is unbearable.
Tl;dr : Cool piece of concept, art and sound design but restrained by its genre, making it more of a grindfest than an actual game.
