Replay. The sequel to this is one of the most absurdly fun games I've ever played. It's tonally all over the shop but always entertaining; almost like Yakuza in its blend of the serious and the ridiculous. This isn't quite as nuts as the second game, but it's still an absolute blast. And dang, the visuals really hold up -- hard to beleive this is nearly a decade old.

I missed this game at the time, but I'm glad I decided to give it a chance. Technically it's clear that the game is 10 years old, but it's still fun to play.
The plot is quite simple, but there are moments, such as the flight to the moon, that add a special charm. Frau Engel is a beautifully written character, she doesn’t have much screen time, but it’s enough to make you hate this Nazi with all your heart. It’s a shame that they didn’t let her be killed, there is a feeling of incompleteness. I hope they left it for the sequel.
In general, a solid game. If you like me missed it, just pick it up and play it already!

I love how fucking angry everything in The New Order is. The game is outraged at the injustice of its setting and everything is screaming at you to fight back. Wake up. Do SOMETHING.
From the moment you boot it up you're greeted with a hard wall of furious noise, and the soundtrack never lets up- every track is loaded with adrenaline and wrath. Blowing Nazi heads to paste is made ten times more satisfying when the backing guitar is roaring and the drums are thumping in time with every bullet.
Every single character is seething- it goes without saying that every member of the Resistance is from top-to-bottom livid at the Nazis, but even after the globe has fallen to pure evil the Nazis continue to burn the world to cinders in bigoted wrath. General Deathshead puts on a better front than most, but as his compound crumbles and his soldiers die in droves the mask of sophistication slips more and more until you're left with a shrieking, raving madman- far from the calculated cruelty he relishes in during the prologue.
Special mention goes to BJ, of course. Even when there's nothing but you and the corridors his inner voice is a whisper of controlled, focused fury. He's far from the chattiest protagonist in the medium but every single word out of his mouth oozes with contempt for the broken world he's woken up in.
The gameplay is visceral and mean. Knife wounds are deep and rough, blood pours out of each kill and explosions turn Nazis into goop. You relish in it.
An excellent revival of a classic series- can't wait to play the followups.

A great reimagining of the series that kept me well entertained from the first to the last second. In addition to the action and the wild story filled with a fair amount of WTF moments, the game also has its quieter scenes that really got to me. I didn't expect a Wolfenstein game to manage to make me emotional, but this game did. On top of that, the absolutely buttery smooth gameplay was so much fun. One of the best single-player action games. And as I said in my Wolfenstein 3D review already: Killing Nazis is always fun :D

A game that presents an alternative story of World War II, where Nazi Germany emerges victorious by developing the atomic bomb before the USA, leading to the Nazis occupying all of Europe. It's a storyline that I find intriguing.
In terms of gameplay, you engage in first-person shooting, taking down Nazis across various scenarios. If you're drawn to the game's theme (and enjoy killing Nazis), this game is for you.

When 95% of video game writing sucks, you never expect the Nazi killing DOOM clone to have a strong script.
If I were to play this again (just for fun), I'd probably drop the difficulty some. I'm sure it's a skill issue, but on "I am Death Incarnate," even the grunts were shredding me. I felt slightly less like a badass because of this. Next time I'm either playing Uber, getting all the achievements, and losing my mind, or I'm cruising on Game Journalist difficulty and enjoying the fantastic set pieces this game has to offer.
Game is good. You can kill Nazis with two guns at once. Game is good.

MAX HASS!!!
Such an amazing game. Playing this after the previous two Wolfenstein games I really wasn't expecting to feel...feelings.
The broad strokes of the story are basically the same as the previous games. You're a buff, American, Nazi-killing machine; shooting, stabbing and strangling Nazis from the deep sea to the frickin Moon, but the characters and the dialogue is such a massive step up.

Felt like Doom but with nazis instead of demons. Don’t remember much else more than that I didn’t like the story, the characters or anything else. At some times it even feel clunky. Graphics feel old and the guns were just very boring. I prefer Doom more tbh. I gave it a 2 because it scratch my doom itch.
