i played ts like 6 hours a day every day during the summer and holy shit. playing this game was some of the most fun i've had in a long time. i really liked the combat system especially, paired with the music it was so compelling that mementos grinding was honestly fun for me. it was kind of iffy how they inserted akechi's backstory, though, since he kind of just trauma dumped on joker instead of being inserted in a way that matched his character. either way, it was so amazing and i will always feel so deeply towards it
Greatest game of all time. I could write about it forever. Royal takes the already phenomenal characters, story, and combat from the original and adds to it with new depth and amazing quality of life changes that make all 120 hours worth of gameplay smooth and enjoyable. Third semester is the ultimate cherry on top that manages to tell such an insanely touching story in a short amount of time with one of the greatest voice acting performances you’ll ever hear. Can’t recommend this game enough. I don’t even need to mention the music right? Everybody knows at this point that P5 has some of the greatest VG tracks of all time.

This may or may not be my favorite game I've ever played. Now, I do get that it is long. It took me 83 hours to beat. But it uses those 83 hours well. It makes you form deep as hell bonds with the phantom thieves and other confidants you decide to do. The gameplay is great as each palace feels like a new challenge and even at its lowest (Okumura arc) I was still having fun. Are there flaws? Of course. We are all not perfect. But out of every game I've played, this is the only one that has left me speechless for 15 minutes after finishing the game and the 3rd semester. 10/10

There are quite a few aspects that I'd change, but a game being flawless in every aspect doesn't make it a 5-star game to me, it's how much of an impression it leaves on me while playing it and how I feel afterwards as well.
Persona 5 Royal has an aesthetic that pulls you in and never lets go. It just OOOOOOOZES coolness. Even the MENUS got that style! I don't even know how that's possible! The characters are joy to watch (except Morgana in a lot of cases) and I'd on another adventure with 'em if given the chance.
What really makes it for me is the third semester though, where Maruki's philosophy on how the world should be has made me fundamentally question my beliefs on how people should live.
I still don't know what path is the right one to take, and I have a rather melancholic, yet weirdly comfortable feeling that I'll die not knowing. What a precious experience.
