This is without a shadow of a doubt the definitive way to experience Persona 5. Many of the new changes and additions make the game so much more enjoyable.
However, without going into detail, playing through the story again made me realize that I enjyed the writing much less compared to my playthrough of P5 vanilla.
Furthermore, I simply didn't enjoy the third semester in general, which caused me to put this game on hiatus for 3 whole years before I recently came back and finished it. There are parts that I liked, but I had a hard time enjoying the new story. I'd also like to mention that the new character, Kasumi, feels a bit shoehorned in and would've benefited from joining the party much earlier than she did.

the third semester is so insanely good
a remaster that adds and fixes a lot of small issues with the original, while also shitting all over it with a fujoshi fanfic tier rewrite of a major character's story arc and an embarassingly bad third semester with writing that borders on self contradictory.
Easily the definitive version of the game, the added content is very welcome and well-integrated. My only complaint is that some of the new systems make the game far too easy, even when played on the highest difficulty.
i love the graphics, the aesthetic and atmosphere of the game but it wasn't made for me.. sorry akechi.
I dated every girl in the game so I'd get a bonus on my new game plus run and then didn't actually do a new game plus run. 8/10, the soundtrack is good enough to actually listen to outside of the game context.

If this was just base persona 5 it would be like a 4.5 star or maybe even a 4 star, but the added content on the royal version is actually so good, the new villain at the end feels very well written, the combat is pretty standard but its pretty fast and the game is not too grindy aswell.

I finally finished Persona 5 and I am shocked.
What a perfect game! The story is incredible and full of depth especially that last semester! (the thing ever written).
The characters are phenomenal, I feel connected to every single main character and I truly love them all (except yusuke he's fine I guess).
The story is so incredibly done and the pacing is wonderful! 90 hours is not enough I need more :(
The combat is so unique but also so fun, it's colorful and quirky and quite sophisticated! the music during palaces and honestly during any single point of the game is a masterpiece, every single song is a banger especially I believe playing in the last palace!
The design is so FUCKING good!!!! the colors everywhere and the background the enemies and personas everything is PERFECT!!
Greatest game of all time, I will now start my NG+ ! very excited :) I highly reccomend everyone to play this life changing game !

Nunca me parecerá justificado pasar por caja por algo que podría ser un DLC y ya está, pero este sigue siendo el mejor RPG de la década (y ahora que tiene billar, dardos y a Akechi pegando berridos, más todavía).

Man oh man... where to begin. I'm not a big JRPG guy but this game makes me enjoy the grind SO much. The combat would be pretty annoying if it weren't for the baton pass, which makes the low level encounters a breeze if you know the right weakness types. The story is super engaging and being able to learn more about the side characters through the confidants is super rewarding. Honestly it's the best way to get into the Persona series imo. Would extremely recommend!!!!!!!!!! play this nowwwwwwwwwww

Massive games like this tend to buckle under their own weight, but P5 Royal's strengths endure the extensive time sink, staying refreshing and captivating from start to finish.
THIS is what i called a Masterclass ! There is everything i ever wanted in a game. The scenario is perfection how i like, the gameplay is incredible too and the longer of the game is well managed. I say it, I wasn't bored for a single second with the game, being a very fan of this genre.
