This was a really special meal no doubt. Just needed a bit more salt......and some sauce........and French Fries on the side would've been nice too !

Despite being a bit directionally challenged, I was able to compete Dark Souls without any problems and I can vividly picture how the world is laid out years later. The areas in Death's Door blend together and are far less memorable in general. This, along with the isometric perspective and lack of a map, made it difficult for me to navigate the world.

The enemy design and combat are decent, but not particularly impressive. I played for an hour or so.

Really fun Zeldalike game with a charming artstyle and some really sick boss fights especially towards the end. Defo worth playing.

A good twist on isometric action adventure games. Death's Door does not contrive anything new, but its gameplay is solid and its consideration about work and workers are interesting and fun.
Exploration is good, combat is good, graphics are good, this game has "everything", but maybe it lacks some strock of genius.
But it's not its fault. Recommended.

The initial premise for Death's Door is fantastic. We play as a crow who works as a grim reaper but when one of the souls they intend to reap is nicked they follow the culprit and discover the titular Death's Door, a sealed portal that can only be opened by collecting the souls of 3 ancient creatures. Thus begins our adventure, which takes us across as beautifully bleak fantasy land. You spend a lot of time in solitude in this game, and it builds a wonderful sense of atmosphere.

Gameplay is a kind of Zelda-Soulslike fusion. Presented with an isometric view, you wander around and hack away at enemies, but the high difficulty and need to constantly retry bosses due to quick deaths can be offputting for some. There's a lot of joy to be found in simply exploring the world, but some of the collectibles amount to busywork. It's certainly still a charming game and one I find myself thinking about a lot.

This is a great Zelda-like game, it was fun beating it.

The most so-so game I've played in recent memory.

I loved it so much, but it left me wanting more in some way, unsatisfied for some reason. I am undecided if that is part of its charm or a defect.

About what I liked from the game, finding Pothead around the game always made me so happy and took videos to show my partner. The visual art is so satisfying to look at, the colors and the textures are so on point. And I forgot until I saw it in the game cover, but there is this character that is a squid controlling a fisherman's corpe, I loved that guy too.

Great setting, nice art, solid combat but somehow a little boring.

Cool game, become boring after awhile

The soundtrack is great, the boss fights are very challenging, and the story was surprisingly good. Raven's Dark Souls was worth the experience.

not bad. cool style and characters, just nothing really stands out to me. it's a fine game, just kinda forgettable.
