Kirby Air Ride offers a breezy, unconventional twist on the racing genre. With its emphasis on automatic acceleration and simplified controls, the focus shifts to maneuvering and copying enemy abilities for a frantic and fun-filled experience. While its limited single-player content and lack of in-depth mechanics hamper its longevity, Kirby Air Ride excels as a pick-up-and-play multiplayer game, perfect for casual gatherings with its unique mix of racing and chaotic power-up battles.

This game might as well only have one mode. The normal and top-down races are fine, but get old very quick, since it doesn't have the mechanical depth of other racers that keeps you coming back. On the other hand, City Mode is one of the greatest ideas on the GameCube and I could easily play it for hours without getting bored.

better balance than heritage for the future somehow

Played this as a kid. Was probably cool.
Played this today and I can't think of any reason to spend more than two hours on it.

One of Kirby's most overhyped games.

broke: wanting an air ride sequel because you grew up with it

woke: wanting an air ride sequel because there's a very promising foundation with tons of room to grow

I cannot understand the appeal of this game! The controls are not that good which is unfortunate because the concept of Kirby having a racing game is so awesome to see!

I basically never even played the actual game.

People always talked about City Trial, but the Air Ride mode is also very interesting with it's very unique progression system.

yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeahhhhh

this is a seminal game from my childhood u bitches don’t even understand…. so cute & fun. and because i have so much nostalgia for it, i can enjoy playing it in present era even with the standard for today’s graphics quality marring my mind… SO I WIN!!

Played it with my brother for a few hours and it's fun but definitely feels like a game you had to grow up with on order to fully appreciate lt. I'll give it another shot though.

you got NOTHING on my wagon bro

Nintendo ignoring all of there racing franchises that aren't Mario is truly the worst thing they've done and there's a lot of bad I could pick from!
