pretty much same as first. a bit longer, new characters with different abilities - tho you can't choose which can be annoying since i prefer some chars over others, but i appreciate the variety.
Maybe a hot take, but I like yhe linearity in this one! Just a couple quick in-n-outs and you're free!

Eu fui jogar Hotline Miami 2 com um hype imenso porque o primeiro jogo foi bom pra caralho, mas esse hype acabou bem rápido.
Esse jogo é muito, muito, muito injusto e, consequentemente, desnecessariamente difícil! As fases são imensas e não têm 1 checkpoint sequer, então acontece de você passar 90% da fase e morrer no final e ter que voltar do ínicio. Eu não estou brincando, tiveram fases que eu demorei 30 minutos para passar e isso é simplesmente patético, eu fiquei puto de verdade enquanto jogava esse jogo!
A história do primeiro jogo é confusa e eu não entendi algumas coisas, mas, ainda assim, eu entendi a ideia central e pesquisei sobre para entendê-la melhor. Porém, a história do Hotline Miami 2 é tão, tão, mas tão confusa que chegou um momento que eu nem sabia mais o que estava acontecendo; ele é um completa bagunça temporal e isso me fez chegar ao final do jogo e simplesmente não achar nada demais. Para mim, o final de Hotline Miami 2 não significou porra nenhuma.

I really wanted to say this game is very good, but compared to the first one, it is a huge downgrade.
Hotline Miami was a tactical game, you had to plan your actions through trial and error in order to get the perfect run, while Hotline Miami 2 requires you to rely purely on reflex.
I may pick up this game sometime in the future for completion sake, but I can't say I had a lot of fun with it compared to Hotline Miami

Banger soundtrack and gameplay, the story is a bit confusing due to the constant timeline changing.
There's some bs sections that are very frustrating, you can get shot by an enemy that's offscreen but overall the level design is pretty solid.
Would like to see a sequel or another game similar to this!

Ok so I know it's not as controversial an opinion anymore, but I prefer Hotline Miami 2 to the first game. It's probably my favourite game ever, honestly. I love the more sober tone compared to the first game, the extra characters makes it feel more sprawling and like this is happening in an actual world and not just some rooms floating in a neon void. The music is somehow even better this time around, and I just like a bunch of the new aesthetic flourishes, like the UI.
Man, this party stinks. I fcking hate these people.
