LIKE THIS POST IF YOU THINK THE MIIS THAT COLONIZED WUHU ISLAND SHOULD BE GIVEN THE DEATH PENALTY

Idk why every talks about Wii Sports. Wii Sports Resort is better. The amount of content in this game is amazing. Lots of sports with different modes, skydiving, and flying around Wuhu island.

This game was goated.

The best Wii game, and definitely in the top 5 Nintendo games of all time. Wuhu Island was and will always be the fictional game location I'd want to visit. Also, stellar soundtrack! Gosh-darn-it-homeslice if that intro jingle isn't one of the greatest openings to a game, ever!

Call me crazy, but this game is simply perfection. Every single sport is optimized to perfection or in a couple cases near perfection. Nostalgia doesn't even have anything to do with it. Everything here is purely remarkable.

i only played this at my cousin's house or at a my church, but it went so hard

I couldn't find the last i point in the plane game for like 10 years

fun until my brother broke the disc because he lost the swordfighting game

Swordplay, bowling, ping pong, frisbee, basketball, wakeboarding, and archery are all bangers and Air Sports might be my most played game on the Wii. There are some not so great games in here like power cruising, cycling, and especially canoeing, but it doesn't really matter as the quality of the rest makes up for it. Such a great experience, truly the ultimate Wii Sports game.

This game is not to be ignored, it's one of the best mini game collections ever made. Most of the games in here are so good, and a lot of them have a surprising amount of modes/levels/features. If you liked Wii Sports at all, this is a must play, it's so much better. Easily the best game in the Wii Sprots series (as of 2023) and one I go back to a lot.

Better Wii Sports. More games included and with much more content.

(And the usage of Wii motion plus is cool as well)

Matt traumatized me in the sword minigame. 10/10

The best game was Swordplay.

Be Warned, Matt will rock your shit.

The amount of hours I spent just flying that fucking plane around that island...

This game did not need to be as great as it was. This game is charming, and the sports are great and have more depth than the original game. I love that all the sports take place on Wuhu island, as it makes Wuhu feel like a place. You can see where other sports take place in some of the sports, which culminates with the best sport in the game, island flyover. I have wasted countless hours of my life flying over this virtual island. I love that there is information about the island when there did not need to be. This game is a very special game that I think everyone can enjoy.

Way better than the original Wii sports in every way, and offers so much new I'm not even sad some mini games were left out. ive had hours of fun with this with friends and family. its definitely a must have if you own a wii.

Like most folks, I bought this because it was bundled with a Wii MotionPlus dongle. I was delightfully surprised that the game itself was actually great. It's a crime that as Nintendo releases new Wii Sports successors (more recently - Nintendo Switch Sports), that they ignore most of the rad sports and fun mixes on existing sports that Resort added. BRING BACK DISC GOLF YOU COWARDS! JUSTICE FOR WII SPORTS RESORT!!

This is what I think of when I think of the Wii and Wii Sports. Wuhu Island. An amazing expansion and re-imagining of Wii Sports, creating a world of its own for the Miis to not just golf and bowl, but swordfight, fly planes, shoot targets, cycle, basket, wakeboard, canoe, many other water sports, golf but with frisbee, golf but with frisbee and dog, and tennis but with table.

(They forgot how to baseball and boxing but that's okay).

Most played game for us by far was Table Tennis. Might sound like an ad, but using the MotionPlus to put all sorts of gnarly spin on the ball was exhilarating, and gave it a lot more nuance. That was the only sport I hit rank 2500 on. Still trying to get the stamp for not hitting the guy's face in Return Challenge though.

My favorite game, though, was the Island Flyover. I'm still impressed with how much detail they were able to give to the supposed life of this resort, with 80 collectible points (iPoints) to find all over the island and its neighboring islands, and with 240 different flavor texts for those points in the three times of day. The only thing I wish this game could've added was an endless mode, but still, flying around the island and seeing how everything was connected was amazing. From the town, with the bowling alley and basketball court, to the swordfighting stadium, and up the mountain to the canoeing lake, Island Flyover really made what would've been a mini-game package into a cohesive story. Well not too much story, but flavor enough to let you imagine a story.

All the other games were extremely solid too. A good amount of single player, two player, and multiplayer options as well. And having multiple modes within each sport helped with the variety as well. Sometimes I'm not feeling a pickup game, but could go for the 3-point contest. The VS. modes in Canoeing, Cycling, and Power Cruising did fall short, though, it's basically who can reach the end the fastest, and was limited to only two players. Otherwise, they all were pretty fun.

The stamps were the perfect sort of collectible to add. Some would be skill-driven when completing the sport, some would be fun Easter eggs, and other would be just random stuff. Standouts are having to pop every white balloon in Island Flyover (which I guess I somehow did, although I did put in over 100 hours into probably just that), and all the hidden targets in Archery - which are kind of ridiculous, but thank goodness for online guides to find those.

Beautiful game. Always wishing we could get another game that returned to Wuhu Island, or at least just one with the same amount of heart and spirit. Seeing Nintendo Switch Sports come out with its Spocco Square (and disclaimer, I didn't end up getting this game) with only six sports felt so lifeless. At the very least, bring back the Wuhu Mountain Loop track from MK7 please!

Sincerely, a Wuhu Island Balloonatic

embodiement of gaming, if you even care about this media..

I LEGIT THINK WII SPORTS IS THE GREATEST GAME EVER MADE WHAT OTHER GAME GOT UR GRAN AND DOG AND THE MOODY TEEN WHO SPOKE TO NO ONE ALL PLAYING TOGETHER!!!

i think the removal of baseball and tennis (even tho table tennis is HOT) is a bit of a shame i feel like they could have easily had them in. But then again i guess that means there is always a reason to return to Wii Sports OG from time to time

I don't care how many VR headsets come out or how high display resolutions get, for me the peak of technology was when I booted up Swordfighting and the little guy copied my movements exactly

Let's be honest this game went so hard

i forgot there were sports in this game ive been flying the plane for the past 12 hours

A really big step up from its predecessor in my opinion, having much more sports and gamemodes that grants much more replayability. Wii Sports walked so Wii Sports Resort could run because everything feels so much better with the wii motion plus add-on/wiimote and it's vastly preferable to its often inaccurate older brother. The minigames are so much fun with some real stand-outs like sword fighting and island fly-over, probably explaining why Skyward Sword is one of my favourite Zeldas.

I LOVED JUMPING OUT OF A FUCKING PLANE AND HOLDING HANDS WITH MY IMAGINARY FRIENDS. I LOVED PLAYING UNDER THE SUNSET ON THE BEACH WITH MY FAKE DOG AND FLYING STRAIGHT INTO A FUCKING VOLCANO.

THIS GAME IS PEAK AND NOTHING NINTENDO HAS EVER MADE SINCE EVEN COMPARES TO THIS SHIT. FUCK NINTENDO SWITCH SPORTS AND EVERYTHING IT REPRESENTS AND STANDS FOR.

the game's rating goes up 100% because of that one game where you beat the shit out of each other with sticks until you fall off
