A Plague Tale: Innocence has a pretty compelling narrative which holds as its pivotal point throughout most of the game, its a pretty beginner-friendly game due to the fact that you feel like its more of an interactive movie. That being said, I gotta give kudos to the team for the creativity of the rats system, it single handledly became the best thing to come out of the game and seems like that was the team's intention.

Overrall its a pretty good game but runs out of time pretty soon and thats a bummer, I also felt like the ending was pretty abrupt but other than that I had a good time while playing this.

Overall this game is pretty enjoyable as it is, the mechanics and gameplay with the different powers (especially neon lol) carry lots of the game's downsides. The gameplay tends to be wacky at times and some narrative aspects are a little bit generic but even with all that I found it pretty fun to play and Im sure when it released it was many people's favorite game ever.

A deep dive into trauma and depression.

This game delivers masterfully the depiction of traumatic events, guilt and depression in it's own unique way. I personally went for the good ending and couldn't be more satisfied, seeing Sunny slowly healing from the guilt and finally getting rid of Something and lifting the burden. I also find it very interesting how we do not see the reaction of the friends after Sunny tells them the truth, the game leaves it to the player's consideration, which I find pretty neat.

The other big aspect this game has and I want to praise is its psychological horror aspects. They maybe are not jumpscares but the way the play with the player throughout the story and scare the living hell out of me in the most unexpected circumstances was scary, but pretty well executed.
