It was a nice little expansion to the story of the first game to bridge the gap to the second, but it lacks the main hook of the main game which is to see how your choices impact the characters. I didn't have time to grow attached to any of these guys, so it ended up falling flat for me. It's not really a full game, though, so I'm not gonna be too hard on it.
It's all right. Playing it after 400 Days, you really miss the characters you'd come to know over the course of Season 1. But the vignette structure is fun and works for something like The Walking Dead. That they tried to tie this into Season 2 was cool, but I didn't really get the intended effect since my saves didn't transfer over (more on that when I review Season 2), so it's hard to comment there. It's a decent and short enough capstone, but really only go for it these days if you want a stopgap between seasons.
OH I forgot I was completely screwed out of 100% completion for Season 1 overall because I lost Rock Paper Scissors. I have to look at a dumb 98% completion for the season when I look at the trophies on PSN. I could easily replay that one vignette, but MEH.

400 days follows the story of five different characters following the days after the outbreak happens. Each story represents a certain amount of days after, with the epilogue being at the 400 day mark. The stories are very short, the DLC as a whole is very short, but like the main game the characters are very well written. There's less lag issues and bugs/glitches with 400 Days than with the main game making it more enjoyable to play.

Thanks to Telltales pretty consistent character writing, this manages to stay mostly engaging throughout. For what it is, it’s fine, but not something I would go back to unless I was doing a marathon of the games or something, since it’s pretty self contained and doesn’t really have a branching connection to either Seasons, despite its marketing.
I can definitely imagine these characters were suppose to have bigger roles in Season Two, but knowing the absolute chaos behind Telltales closed doors, it’s pretty easy to see how they ended up being mostly ignored in the final product. Aside from Bonnie who actually ends up serving the story. But again, the choices you made as her in this DLC have no impact on what she’s up to in Season Two. But that’s Telltale for you.

This bonus chapter contains multiple mini-stories that are loosely connected, even if it does not seem like it at first. Easily the best part of the DLC is slowly piecing together how these seemly unconnected stories are in reality connected. My favorite one has to be Shel's.
IDK if these characters ever return in the future seasons, but I enjoyed this episode as its own standalone story.

Why? It seemed like this was suppose to be HEAVILY apart of season 2 and it was more just easter eggs other than Bonnie but 400 days is really not mentioned at all.
Likable characters that we never see again I guess the concept of this game was fun trying to get everyone to come with you depending on what choices you make it's just you think this leads into something HUGE and then it doesn't.
Liked what I played just truly disappointed that nothing came out of it.
