Bloodborne is already a modern cult classic, it had amazing combat for its age, probably the best soundtrack from its saga and a charming victorian & lovecraftian art and setup.
It's one of those games you'll never forget and probably my favourite game from FS.
The only cons are that there weren't many builds or possibilities compared to other games from the franchise and that some bosses felt a little too easy or uninspired, some other were GREAT though.
Anyways, I love everything about this game lol!

Review for my 3rd replay. This game has unmatched vibes. Yharnam is one of the coolest settings for a video game, and I wish any other souls game reached this level. There's so many fun boss fights here as well, a true masterpiece. I could dock points for certain bosses(fuck the One Reborn) or the weird difficulty curve(imo the first zone of the game is by far the most difficult) but it just isn't worth it because this game is such a unique and fun experience.

I don't really get the appeal of this game outside of the setting and lore. I know it's a beast hunting game, but the bosses just felt like the worst archetype of Souls bosses over and over, mostly just thrashing around and being generally awkward to read, and the constant screeching is not even slightly fun to listen to when you're stuck on a boss. Not to mention the runbacks are genuinely as bad as Dark Souls 1 if not worse.
Reverting to DeS style consumable heals was also a gross decision, and keeping your heals topped up in the early game is a miserable experience.
There are some cool bosses though. I was stuck on Amelia for a few hours, but I can see her appeal. Gascoigne and Gehrman are cool duel fights, but unfortunately I just wanted the game to be done with by the time I got to Gehrman so I was never going to appreciate him as much as I would have.
Didn't do the DLC but really cannot be arsed tbh

this is one of the better souls games, and i think it has to do with the theme most of all. it's fresh and pretty captivating, combat is a step forward from dark souls (weapon modalities add expression, build variety and dopeness) and a step backwards from dark souls (parrying is stupid in this game, dodge steps feel janky). its a kick ass spin off with no real issues compared to other souls games, aside from maybe some clearly overtuned bosses here and there, but what's new aside from the eldritch coat of paint?
