My second bought digital game (they stay with you forever! LoL). I had a lot of fun playing this. The paste gun was cool. Not too long ago I thought about playing it again.

RATING: Good

"We have Super Metroid at home"

I actually really respect this game for the sheer dedication towards making something based on the classics with this much care and attention, but its original inclusions are pretty questionably designed and make the game less fun. Story's serviceable at best, probably would've been better if they leaned into some vintage 80s toyline cheese instead of playing it mostly straight. Still, at least the game is pretty decently designed in spite of its shortcomings and is quite fun to explore around in

baby's first metroidvania

literally. i was 9 when i first played this, and funnily enough it has aged well. most generic protagonist of all time.

We have Super Metroid at home. The alternate ending where you just leave and the protagonist is like "fuck that not my problem" is pretty funny.

A really basic Metroidvania that doesn’t come close to the best either Metroid or Castlevania have to offer and has the most Default Video Game Man main character I’ve ever seen, but a good time overall.

The best of the Metroidvanias. Does everything it sets out to do perfectly. I was never not having fun, and most of the time I was feeling like a total badass. The puzzles are simple, but give you something to think about in between the action. I loved the story and the enemy base packed with minions, I was always interested in what the next room had in store for me. Extra super bonus that Nolan North does the voice acting. This game would pretty much be nearly unchanged if Uncharted ever did a 2.5D game. Play this if you want to have a blast for about 5 hours.

decent metroidvania but orson scott card eat shit

metroidvania for the call of duty crowd
