One of the games I played the most since I was about 7 years old.
Truly, Jak & Daxter is a game that contributed to make me understand that video games were definitly my favorite thing to do.

I am not the biggest fan of Collectathon games (don't dislike them, just not my cup of tea) but this game was the exception to that cup. Got 99% on the game because the world design was so well done that I wanted to explore every nook and cranny and the humor is also well done, found myself laughing out loud multiple times. I did feel like the jumping for a platformer was a bit of a miss... idk it just feels limited jumping on this game. This game does remind me of Crash Twinsanity, it made me a bit sad for that game since this awesome game could have easily been a Crash game, tho not to take credit away from this game since you get a completely different vibe from Jak and Daxter.

If there is any game similar to this (apart from the sequels) let me know!

Don’t know why I stopped playing this

a shame there were so many power cells that were just exchanging orbs but the worlds were great. great fun

Super solid. A bummer they lost sight of the project with the sequels.

played this recently, controls like ass in 2023 and game is still the most boring of the trilogy

Total nostalgia pick here but even coming back to it, the game holds up. Banger setting, banger music, banger time had by all.

There really isnt too much i can say about this title either.
Another pioneer and classic platformer from the PS2 era.
I played the PS5 port but absolutely showed its age through the controls.
Wont be playing again anytime soon but maybe in a few years when i decide to do another challenge.

PC version adds some much needed QoL improvement I already loved this game seeing it get much love through the fanbase makes me smile, One thing I picked up on this playthrough is how much I love the sound design I liked just chilling in the environments and taking in the world

also note: 4th replay of this game and still barely touched jak 2 it might be time

Such a fun platformer to complete

What a wonderful platformer. It's so much fun to play and so simple. It's a classic for a reason. I love the visuals and setting, the characters and music breathe life into this world and exploring it is tons of fun.

Thought this was gonna be a whatever platformer that I would start and just drop an hour in but it a lot more than that. It's Fun, balanced in its difficulty, creative, and doesnt overstay its welcome. Kinda just ticks every checkbox for this type of game and passes with a B+, worth playing at least once overall

An alright collectathon platformer

I played this game as a kid and it made me realize that I can't stand collectathons.

A really good platformer that holds up really well. A great gem from its era. Each location is fun to explore and feels unique while all staying in the same area. The biggest problem with the game is that it was impossible for me to 100% because one orb glitched out of bounds and I couldn't get it.
Final score: 8/10

Great platformer and beautifull animations, a lot of love poured into this one.

One of the best duo platformers

Minus some of the growing pains that comes with making a brand new setting and characters this is still one of the best platformers on the PS2. Naughty Dog pushed the PS1 with Crash and they pushed the PS2 with Jak, on launch too. How shameful is it that every official rerelease from Sony can be best descriped as pure piss but a team of fans managd to make a flawless PC Port for free ?

You play as the slowest running person in any game ever with the worst jump possible, collecting stuff like it's Spyro except Moneybags is a girl asking for power cells instead of gems for hot air balloon rides. Characters only exist to make you talk to them so you can give them 90 orbs for a power cell.

The flut flut is peak though, the bird should have been the main character instead.

amazing game and fun, story is very basic though

Naughty Dog's crack at making a Spyro game. Fantastic visuals and an absolute technical marvel for the time, but kinda aimless in its side missions and level design. Can't say I didn't have fun. Just wished I connected with it more. I remember playing the tutorial as a kid and saying "This game is boring. All you do is jump and you can't even shoot anything." Glad I was able to finish the game and form a better thought-out opinion. Ahem...this game is fun. All you do is jump and sometimes shoot things.

7/10 A classic that I wished I connected more with

just a cute linear platformer game. recently replayed on the vita. the frame rates on the vita suck but i still liked this game. 100%ed it easily

Easily one of my favorite collectathons. Similar to Banjo in having more bite-sized worlds with lots to do in them. Bigger does not equal better when it comes to this genre!

- Extremely tedious
- Cute
- Nostalgic

Uh yeah, Precursor to the modern 3D platformer.
